Interpersonal Skills During my gap year I applied to join a Contiki tour travelling to 4 cities in th e USA. I visited Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas and New York. I loved San Francisco and New York and found the trip really interesting, establishing a wi de network of friends/contacts. It also le d me to apply in second year of University to spend my first term overseas, at t he University of San Francisco where I studied Performance, Asian culture and Eu ropean History classes. Interests During my time at University I played Lacrosse for the West London team which I enjoyed immensely. The team organises an annual mid-season tour and I was given the task of taking ownership of the January 2011 tour to Liverpool. This includ ed organising accommodation, travel, entertainment and networking other Northern teams in order to arrange games throughout the weekend. I coped with this deman ding challenge admirably using interpersonal and organisational skills which res ulted in the tour being a roaring success. I enjoy hill walking and currently in training to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Sep tember 2011 in aid of the Princes Trust. As mentioned previously the fundraising has been an enormous challenge i.e. 2430 plus entrance fees, vaccinations and kit expenses amounting to 2040. I am really looking forward to my trip but under no illusion it will be very hard work. I am also interested in theatre/reading/history/different cultures and fashion.
