During the said period I was reporting to Shri P Barik ,SO/F and responsible for CM/PM/BM and up keeping

of Group C related equipments . EMU Group-C comprises Following systems: 1. 220KV Switchyard and its associated equipments. 2. Oil filled Power Transformers including 3 MVA auxiliary transformers. 3. 16.5 KV IPBD, SPPT and NGTS. 4. Relay Test Lab. 5. Auto transfer and station Billing & Metering system. 6. Static excitation system for Main Generator. 7. Synchronizing scheme for 220KV, 16.5KV, 6.6KV and 415V system. 8. CWPH area electrical equipment including IDCTS fan motors 9. PWPH, DM Plant and PTP area electrical equipment. 10. Station elevators. 11. Station equipment Earthing and lightning protection system. During the above said period following major works were carried out. 1. Start up activities of electrical system after EMCCR work which includes Gen. excitation system checks, Main generator protection checks, GT CB checks, Power connections of GT, UT and SPPT. Preparation for main generator OCC and SCC test, which includes Dummy load test, Implementation of Jumpers, Preparation of Data sheet for protective relays and excitation circuit. Normalizations of Jumpers provided during OCC and SCC test and unit synchronization. 2. Modifications of 220 KV Bus I which includes cutting of 220 KV Bus at three locations, Installation of flexible Clamps and corona ring and replacement of bus support clamps. 3. Protection circuit checks during commissioning of replaced 6.6 KV Class III and 415 V class III and II switchgears which includes, a) Protective numeric relay calibrations and setting, Programmable Scheme Logic (PSL) preparation. b) CTs and PTs Checks c) Protection logic checks c)Phasing out and synchronization checks. 4. Installation and commissioning of New 3 MVA transformer which includes installation of transformer on foundation, laying and connections of power and control cables, Transformer commissioning checks, Hot oil circulation and putting into service. 5. Investigation of various incidences, a) Tripping of PFP on stalling protection. b) Tripping of moderator pump on Earth fault. c) Tripping of ECCS pumps during its routine tests. d) Tripping of 220 KV line on Back up earth fault protections. e) Actuation of Class A2 due to start up over current protection during OCC test 6. 11KV distribution Board A and B Protection circuit commissioning and relay setting work. 7. Detail Investigation of Unit trip on 87 GT protection which includes Primary injection test, all Power Equipment like GT/UT/IPBD/Excitation transformer /SPPT/NGT/CT LAs/Bushing/String Insulator checks, HV test of IPBD and 220 KV

circuit, Complete checks of protective circuit like CT loop checks, Relay checks, CT terminal and JB inspections. 8. Box up of G T and UT after its overhauling work and its electrical and oil test. 9. PM checks of GT, UT and tech specification related 6.6 KV and 415 V Class III and II loads relay calibration checks, GT Bay PM checks during Unit # 2 BSD. 10. Preparation of tender for station elevators and Condition monitoring checks of electrical equipments. 11. Condition monitoring checks of electrical equipments which includes DGA, Oil test as per IS, LA third Harmonic measurements, Transformer electrical tests, HT motor C and DF Test. 12. Execution of WO For Elevator maintenance,220 KV Switchyard maintenance, CM checks of electrical equipments,Thermography of electrical equipments. 13. Co-ordination for Inspection Electrical Installation through CEA and ISO related work. 14. Procurements of various spares related to the system, its up keeping and verifications. 15. Documents work like preparation of maintenance reports, data entry for CM checks, QAMS updation, ECMS Updation and CMMS entry. 16. Revision of Maintenance procedure and checklist Report. 17. Preparation of OERC documents review report and its compilation. Presented on Power transformer reliability SOER in OERC. 18.Participated in Protective relay workshop at TAPS.
