International Organization Recruits A Regional Expert

The Expert is charged to assist the Head of the Regional Office in the overall management of the Regional Office and its local staff; to manage the organization network in the region and process requests for assistance; to represent the organization in the region; acquire a clear understanding of the local situation and enable it to deliver services that are adapted to local private sector needs.

AREAS OF RESPONSABILITY
Under the supervision of the Head of the Regional Office, the expert will be responsible for: Collecting and processing information on the region/countries/other actors; Ensuring the execution of country and region surveys; Representing the organizations philosophy, vision and mission in the region; Setting up, maintaining, training, developing and evaluating the organization network in the region; Maintaining good contacts with local authorities, regional governments and public administrations; Maintaining and expanding the financial network of the organization at the local level; Establishing relations with other networks (e.g. development agencies) in the region; Providing activity reports on a regional and national basis (quarterly as well as yearly reports); Providing briefing reports/presentations for the Director and for the missions the organizations management; Providing other reports upon request; Executing other related duties as assigned by the Head of the Regional Office, including specific ad hoc arrangements.

SKILLS REQUIRED
Citizen of one of the English speaking countries of ECOWAS (Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone); Higher Education Graduate (Bachelors degree + minimum 4 years) in Economics, Finance or Project Management; At least ten (10) years of professional experience in managing projects financed by international donors; Good knowledge of the private sector in West Africa; Good knowledge of regional support programs to the private sector; Good knowledge of European Union cooperation tools for development; Good knowledge in financial management and / or accounting; Good knowledge of office software (Windows and MS Office); Good knowledge of project management software; Bilingual English-French; Available for any travel in the various countries of the region.
