Sign off Bogdan Iaba Sign on Cristian Stoian Welcome on board! MAIN ENGINE Only injection pumps have been overhauled during shipyard in month of March. Turbocharger its in good condition, about governor you must add lube oil daily, I think the sight glass is broken; there is a 20 L drum with l.o. for governor (TELLUS T 68) in steering gear room and also a 200 L barrel (but its not full) in Suez room (out on deck). During maneuverings u have to adjust manually the AMOT valve; the automation not working. Its better to follow the indicator, while u are operating the AMOT. The automatic lube oil filter its not really an automatic one. U must to help it by pushing the blow up button from the local board. In day time if u flush it every 2 hours and one more time at 10 p.m. you will not get any alarm with it. On July 19th cleaned all candles elements and replaced the cartridge. The economizer by-pass flaps its a new one. Has been change on 26th May. It should be no problem with thermal oil system, if any alarm occurs, just check filters. The boiler air flow from partial load and full load has been adjusted by a specialist; also he changed the fuel oil feeding pump. During both stages are running, the feeding pressure should be somewhere to 11-12 bars. Every sailing day: wash turbocharger air side and economizer (for 75% and more engine load), purge the air bottles, take sounds (sludge, dirty oil, fresh water, leak oil & sump tank) AUXILIARY ENGINES 250 hrs maintenance. Both AE have been complete overhauled in shipyard. AE no 1 its cooling water leaking and the other one lube oil leaking. A lot of lube oil and fuel oil filters u can find under the gas oil separator. Air filters in ECR. SEPARATORS July, 21st - cleaned, renewed o-rings, gaskets for ME lube oil separator and one water flow valve has been changed. No1 HFO separator also has new o-rings, gasket, and never used since last service. Sometimes gives low pressure alarm after discharge and this is why its kept for spare. I think the problem its on the sliding bowl spindle its a little bit scratched and the sliding bowl its not easily close. No 1 HFO separator about 2 months since last service. Work properly. AIR SYSTEM Excellent!! Check oil level only. Fwd air drier-out of order. Spare parts are on board for compressors. Purge e-valve changed at compressor no 1. STEERING GEAR In shipyard the rudder gland has been renewed, the grease pump is good, but take care to tight the packing gland every time when the ship is full load; check daily for any leak.

HATCH COVER CRANE One drum ball bearing was broken, we ordered and received original ball bearing that its not fitting, so C/E made a teflon bush. Its better then better. BALLAST SYSTEM All actuators have been dismantled, adjust and changed o-rings during shipyard. But there are 2 actuators that are not mounted yet, a superintendent should come on board and solve the problem. Small oil leakage keeps carrying on. MOB BOAT AND FREE FALL BOAT The both boats are in good condition. AIR CONDITION SYSTEM FOR ACCOMMODATION Just replace the belt from accommodation ventilation when is necessary. The AC compressor is ok. COOL AND FREEZE PLANTS In July I cleaned the condenser from freeze compressor. The suction o-board valve from the cooling water pumps is not tightening and so on no seal. So be careful!! If u are going to sail in warm area pay attention to freeze plant, it could be possible to stop because of bad cooling in condenser. So adjust the freon suction till u get a max 20 bars on the discharge side. Thermometer from cool room shows you minus 8 degrees but, at the matter of fact, is plus 2 degrees; bad one! This one is from freezer room; change over. The chef is good cooking, especially when u are hungry. FRESH WATER GENERATOR Good running only when the ship is unloaded or the draft its not over 7m. U must to be patient when u start it. There is a new fresh water pump & e-motor. OTHERS New batteries on emergency generator June 28th In workshop there are 2 e-motors (one is from accommodation ventilation and the other one from thermal oil transfer system) damaged, burned, out of order, good for nothing.
