Founded in 1969 by Dr B P Agrawal, ABC Consultants is the pioneer of organised recruitment services in India. ABCs roots in management consultancy enable us to bring a unique approach to recruitment. Our focus has always been on middle and senior management talent needs. We recruit across various industry segments for multinational corporations as well as leading Indian business houses. In the past 40 years, we have helped shape the careers of over 85,000 professionals and have partnered with more than 350 multinational companies to set up and staff their operations in India. Executive team Dr. B P Agrawal, Chairman ABC Consultants was founded in July 1969 by Dr B P Agrawal. He holds engineering and management degrees from British universities and a PhD from Arizona. Supported by tons of self-belief, hard work and more than a stroke of luck as he puts it, Dr Agrawal is today considered the pioneer of professional search and selection services in India. Before starting on his own, he had worked with Eaton Yale & Towne, an American multinational company in England and Union Carbide in India. Dr Agrawals impressive career is marked by many milestones - he has been President of The Institute of Management Consultants of India, Visiting Professor at IIM Kolkata and Companion of The Institute of Management, London. Dr Agrawal often shares his diverse experiences and vast knowledge at industry chambers and human resource forums. He has received the prestigious Shiromani Award 1989 from former President of India, Dr Shankar Dayal Sharma for Enriching Human Life and Outstanding Attainments. He has also been awarded the Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award 91 by Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. Besides giving the firm a strategic direction, Dr Agrawal is actively involved in providing highend recruitment solutions to clients. He has completed over 1,000 searches for business and functional heads across various industry practices. Indeed, this exceptional entrepreneur who started ABC has taken the company to great heights.

Shiv Agrawal, Chief Executive Officer Shiv is a management graduate from the London Business School with over 10 years of experience in the executive search and selection industry. While in London, he was with Watson Wyatt Worldwide, a global HR consulting firm. He is a certified assessor for 'Thomas Profiling', a psychometric testing methodology. He has been actively involved in the success of ABC Consultants over the past few years.

Shiv has headed various divisions within ABC Consultants. In 1998 he moved to Delhi from the Kolkata office and started the Consumer, Retail and Services practice. Within a short span, he took over the operations of the New Delhi office which under his leadership tripled its revenues over the next two years. He subsequently was given responsibility to manage the Kolkata and Chennai offices. He was an integral part of the core management team that oversaw the highly successful JV with Manpower Inc. In October 2005, he was appointed the CEO of ABC Consultants in recognition of his exceptional talent and hard work. In addition to managing the Indian operations of ABC, he is driving the company into new markets such as UK, Middle East, USA and China and is working on some new business ideas that will transform the firm into a multi market, multi product organisation. An easy-going, affable boss to his co-workers, Shiv follows a people-driven management style. Under his able leadership, ABC has doubled its revenues and grown from 150 consultants nationwide to over 325 today. His opinion and views in the search and selection business are highly sought after and respected. He is ABC's link to the future. For Clients Search Methodology Our selection process is based on a structured and systematic approach, which is proactive, detailed and target oriented. This process begins with understanding the clients needs and goes all the way to post recruitment follow-up with both client and candidate. The key principles of our search methodology focus on Understanding the client organisation with regard to existing business activities, organisation structure, culture and future growth plans Mapping position specific competencies including accountabilities and other relevant details Developing a Sourcing Strategy that draws up a target list of appropriate industries and/or companies from which to recruit and utilising our network, along with our database to develop a job title, deliverables, principal

list of most promising candidates within these companies. This is presented to the client as a comprehensive list of people we intend to approach. Establishing Contact once we have determined a mutual interest in pursuing specific candidates. Candidates are contacted and apprised of the opportunity for eliciting their interest in the position. Evaluating candidates with the aim of determining a profile match with the job, their career aspirations and suitability in the context and culture of client organization. In addition to personal interviews, we selectively use psychometric assessment tools such as Thomas Profiling & SHL Testing. Detailed Reference Checks on candidate(s) who have been selected for hire, before the offer is formally extended. If required, we could also help conduct a background check on these candidates, through appropriate agencies. Negotiations for the final candidates compensation requirements and if required, assist in completing the hiring arrangements. Post joining follow- ups with the client and candidate ensuring smooth transition
