Whose Label Are You Wearing?

Text: Deuteronomy 6:5-9, Proverbs 7:1-3

The most important labels you wearare not exterior labelsbut the labels that are imprinted
on your heart and mind. Those are the labels that affect your everyday life and your future.
God created you and He designed you for your destiny. He is the Ultimate Designer and we
must wear His labels if we want to walk in victory and fulfill our destiny. Jeremiah 1:4-7
Gods Word says you are:
CHOSEN. 1 Peter 1:9
PRECIOUS. Isaiah 43:4
ONE OF A KIND. Psalm 139:14
THE APPLE OF HIS EYE. Psalm 17:8
FAVORED. Psalm 5:12
BLESSED. Deuteronomy 28:1-14
SUCCESSFUL. Psalm 1:3
Psalm 31:19 says: How great is His goodness that He has stored up for you!
Dont label yourself below the potential God has set for you.
Whose Labels Are You Wearing?
1. Remove the negative labels from your life.
You can choose to believe negative words spoken over youor you can choose to believe
God.
God wants you to live a life with no limitsand no labels!
2. Put positive labels on people.
What labels are you putting on your spouse and children?
Use your words to encourage, compliment, and elevate others.
Jesus blessed people with His words everywhere He went. He lifted those who were
bowed downand you can do the same!
You have to choose to be intentional with your words.
Instead of criticizing and judging others, see their value.
Look for the good in them. Call out their gifts and strengths.
3. Replace negative labels you have put on people.
We have probably all said words we regretted, but we can do something about it. We can
repent. We can say: I am sorry! I was wrong!
If you have hurt someone with your words, you should go to them and apologize
especially if it was your child. Dont let them go through life thinking you believe the
worst in them. They need to have your blessing and encouragement. They need to know
you believe in them!
4. Label yourself with Gods Word.
Take negative labels off and start re-labeling yourself with Gods Word! I Chronicles 4:9-10

 Jabezs four powerful requests of God that changed his destiny forever. It shows us how
to put on Gods labels.
A. God, bless me! Genesis 12:1-3
God answered. God so blessed Jabez that today we are still talking about him!
Books have been written about him. God made his name greatand it was
through Jabezs lineage that the Bible tells us we got Jesus.
Begin to pray: God bless me and make me what You want me to be!
B. God, enlarge me!
He not only wanted to be blessed, he wanted to be a blessingto make a
difference and to do great things.
C. Let Your hand be with me!
Jabez didnt want to go anywhere without Gods presence, favor, and blessing. He
began to listen to God. He began to follow God and not the path of his mother
and brothers.
D. God, keep me from a life of trouble and pain!
He didnt want to live a life of trouble and painand he didnt want to cause pain
to anyone else.
You have to begin to see yourself and your future as God does. Put His labels all over your life
and destiny. Psalm 139:13-16
