The solution allows: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Capture, conversion, compression, and distribution of paper into multiple formats to multiple destinations. Centralized management of both paper and electronic documents. Integration with other electronic information systems ECM, DMS, RMS, and more. Leveraging existing investments, including multi-function peripherals and fax infrastructure. Increased employee productivity and reduced costs with more efficient, streamlined document management processes.

BUSINESS NEED
Our customer wanted to distribute documents in different formats to a variety of devices and enterprise document management systems, including hand-held devices. The company's needs included:

Development of connectors that will allow its system to integrate and store documents in various forms in the enterprise information systems. A desktop client that will allow the company to create routing sheets and embedded directives, which define what format the document should be sent and who will be the recipient.. This data will be displayed as a bar-code to be kept as the first sheet in the document set. An application to be written on top of the web servers of the capture device, which will read the barcode and process the document as per the specifications of the routing sheet or the embedded directives.

IVESIA'S ROLE
Ivesia was involved in the following activities: 1. 2. 3. Helped develop connectors between their solution and SharePoint, open text documents (RMS) and litigation support software such as Summation, Concordance, and Ringtail using VC++. Maintained the existing solution by helping fix bugs at periodic intervals. Developed the ASP.Net application on top of the web servers of the document capture device, which reads the barcode information of the routing sheet or embedded directives, and routes them as per the specifications. Supported the development of a connector for Adobe Acrobat Professional and Acrobat Reader, which allows users to open and close documents from the enterprise information system.

OUTCOMES
Ivesia was involved in several critical aspects of product development, which included the development of a desktop client, connectors for enterprise information systems, and a device level application that reads routing specifications. In addition, Ivesia also helped the customer with longterm maintenance activities.
