(ARA) - If youre planning a trip to the box
offce to see any of this years big block-
buster movies, theres a good chance youre
going to see it in 3-D. Around the world, de-
mand for 3-D technology continues to grow
because it takes the movie viewing experi-
ence to a completely new level. The popu-
larity of 3-D has also inspired more people
to have 3-D TVs in their homes so they can
enjoy the excitement of 3-D anytime.
From the big screen to the living room
Interest in home 3-D TV continues to grow,
but initial adoption has been hindered by
limited availability or programming in3-D
and by expensive and cumbersome 3-D
glasses. Today things have changed. The
infux of 3-D movies in theaters is result-
ing in more 3-D content coming to Blu-ray
for home viewing. Sports broadcasting and
video game development are reasons 3-D
isnt going anywhere.
Choosing your 3-D format
In May, a third party consumer survey com-
missioned by LG Electronics and conducted
by Morpace, Inc., showed that 4 out of 5
people prefer the overall 3D experience of
LGs passive 3-D TV, LG CINEMA 3-D,
over Sony and Samsungs active 3-D TVs.
The same survey also showed consumer
preferences for LG CINEMA 3-D in bright-
