Newest NSP grads honor mentors, receive major awards, move on to top grad schools and companies

May graduate Jennifer Moffitt received the 2011 Norris Medal, Clemsons top award for most outstanding graduating senior. Jennifer is the fourthNational Scholar to receive the Norris since 2007.
The graduating seniors received many awards, including: Jessica Dean Outstanding Undergraduate Award from the Presidents Commission on the Status of Women; Phi Kappa Phi Certificate of Merit from the College of Business and Behavioral Science; Ernest Jewell Hardesty Moore Award for Outstanding Senior from the department of Psychology; Matt Locke Award from the Division of Student Affairs Caitlin Foulser Outstanding Senior Award from the Mathematical Sciences Faculty Susie Irizarry Conservation Biology Senior Scholar Awards from the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences and the department of Forestry and Natural Resources Elizabeth Sloan Phi Kappa Phi Certificate of Merit from the College of Engineering and Science Ray Smith Jerome V. Reel Award of Academic Excellence from Omicron Delta Kappa national leadership honor society

The 2011 graduates presented the annual NSP Awards of Distinction to professor and advisors who have served as their mentors and who supported their intellectual, personal and professional development at Clemson. The 2011 recipients were:

Josh Von Fange and Zach Musgrave race across a lake at the end of a zip line tour during the April 8-10 senior retreat. This retreat bookends the new Scholar retreat of four years earlier, and allows Scholars to reflect on their NSP experience and to make commitments to each others continued success.
