Here's a tip
In this unit, we will learn some useful phrases that you can use in discussions or in a work
environment! You have already learned the word "Besprechung" (meeting); now you can
learn some words to participate in a "Besprechung".
There are two main sentence structures we use to express an opinion: "Meiner Meinung
nach.. " (In my opinion.. ) and "Ich bin der Meinung.. " (literally translated: I am of the
opinion.. ). The la er is usually followed by a subclause starting with "dass.. " which you may
have noticed in key phrases earlier in this unit. See some examples below.
Ich bin der Meinung, dass diese Besprechung nützlich ist. (I am of the opinion that
this meeting is useful.)
Diese Besprechung ist, meiner Meinung nach, nützlich.(This meeting is useful, in my
opinion.)
Meiner Meinung nach ist diese Besprechung nützlich. (In my opinion this meeting is
useful.)
The word "Protokoll" is a noun with various di erent meanings, such as: transcript, record,
protocol, log, report. That means you may see it in various di erent contexts!
