Ok, I will describe my requirements. We have implement PP in our company. Now we want to use QM module.

In order to record the inspection information during Final QA, we have to use inpection type 04. But the client only want to record information, they didn't won't to take any effect on production. That is to say, they will let the material post stock into unrestrictly-use status directly. I know if I active 04 in material master then the system will post the stock into q-status. In order to meet my requirement, I deactive the movetype 101 from QM. Now, I can use MB31 to receive the goods from order into unrestrictely. But if I use co15 to confirm the order so that it can post stock automatically, the system will issue an error message(only post stock trough QM). And if I deactive the inspection type 04 in material master, I cann't create the inspeciton lot manully. Once I thought I can use inspetion type 03, but the type was integrated with routing , I can only attach my inspection characteristic into it. And the client don't want to do that. So, the big problem occurs.

have you ever seen the flag 'Post to inspection stock' in the QM view of the material master, available for inspection type 04?????? Deflag this option and your stock will be posted to unrestricted stock without interfering with QM. So your PP guys can post whatever they want, and QM can proceed with inspections (with/without characteristics, that all up to QM).

How to avoid creating inspection lot automatically? I had set inspection type 04 in the material master . Now I don't want the system create inspection lot auotmatically, I want create it manual. How I can do that? Run TCode SPRO. Click on SAP Reference IMG or press F5. GoTo Quality Management->Quality Inspection->Inspection Lot Creation-> and execute 'Inspection for Goods Movements'. Select 'Deactivate Quality Inspection for a Movement Type' on the poped-up window. Check the 'QM not active' check box for relevant movement type. All the best. If you only want to deactivate it for a material you do that in the QM plant view of the material. Go to the inspection types and uncheck the "Active" box on the line for your 04 inspection. You would then need to make sure that 89 or 07 are active to create a manual one.

Another option is to leave the 04's active but set up your inspection plan so that ALL lots are skip lots. Set up the Auto UD to process all skip lots. you can set a window so that they hang around for an hour or so, or 24 hrs if you want. If you don't want the material in QI stock make sure you also uncheck "Inspectiion stock" indicator for the 04 inspection type set up in the material master. This way, all material goes to unrestricted, inspection lots are available if you want to use them and the lots are automatically closed for you after a given amount of time.
