to the spark of scientific revolution.

DISCUSSION
This lesson will give light to the development of science and scientific ideas in
the heart of the society. It is the goal of this lesson to articulate ways by which society
is transformed by science and technology.
Let us start by understanding the idea of Science revolution and some
intellectuals that contribute to the development of different major discipline of Science
such as Biology, Earth Science, Physics and Chemistry.
Kindly read page 2-7 of your book to further understand the lesson and answer
the questions given below:
1. What is the contribution of Copernicus in the contribution of Copernicus in the
Philosophy of Science?
2. Do you think though experiment is still useful in science in the present time?
3. Do you think the Church should intervene in scientific activities?
Since you have already understood the idea of science revolution and the
perceive the contribution of one of the notable scientists which is Copernicus, let us
perceive the contribution of another notable scientist, Charles Darwin, famously known
for his Theory of Evolution.

We are done with the second notable scientist, let us proceed with the third most
notable scientist, Sigmund Freud, that is not so familiar to us unlike the first two
scientist that we have perceived their contribution to science.
