Children's burial ground in county Cavan #1 Townland: CORCASHEL (Tullygarvey By.)

Description: Not marked on any OS ed. Situated in a hollow in rough stony ground surrounded by a number of low hillocks. Believed to be the site of a children's burial ground (local information). Children's burial ground in county Cavan #2 Townland: MARAHILL (Upper Loughtee By.)
Description: Rectangular area (int. dims.28m NNW-SSE; 15m WSW-ENE) enclosed by a slight bank of earth and stone except at NNW where it is bounded by a field bank

with a modern external trench. A number of large boulders lie along the perimeter of the enclosure on three sides. Recorded by Davies (1948, 110). It is believed to be the site of a burial ground predating the graveyard at Cullies, 700m to SE. Situated adjacent to a large enclosure locally known as 'Shane's Fort' (CV020-011----). Children's burial ground in county Cavan #5 Townland: LECKS Description: A rath (CV023-030001-) which appears to have been utilised as a burial ground. A number of low upright stones which are believed to mark the graves of unbaptized children (local information) occur on the bank and within the internal area. Children's burial ground in county Cavan #6 Townland: URNEY (Clanmahon By.) Description: Although this site has been levelled, the outline of the enclosing features are still visible from E-S-N, encompassing an almost circular area (diam c. 57.2m) which has been bisected by a field boundary running NESW. Davies (1948, 110) believed that it was probably the site of an old church (CV025115002-).
