Recruitment Methods Main Problem in Apparel sector organizations like ABC Company faces today is the high rates

of employee turnover. So they have to keep recruit employees to the Company. There are several Recruiting methods in the ABC Organization. 1. Walk in Interviews 2. Recruitment Campaigns Walk in Interviews A walk-in interview occurs when an individual can interview for a job position without having a pre-scheduled appointment. Job candidates attending these events will often dress as if they are going to an interview and bring along a resume and other necessary Documents. Company recruiters will give on-the-spot interviews to candidates whom they believe will fit the companys job profile. Organizations like ABC Company often hold these kind of interviews sessions at there location, allowing individuals to come in off the street to interview. Job candidates need to prepare for these interviews just like any other interviews. Normally the companies do not take appointment but they will provide specific date and time to the candidates. Even though every Thursdays and Fridays are received for the walk in interviews in ABC Company because of the high employee turnover they are facing they are force to hold interviews whenever a candidate came to the organization.

Recruitment Campaign Recruitment Campaigns are another way of recruiting people to the organization. ABC Company also uses this method to attract employees to the organization. These recruitment campaigns can be done both internally and externally. Internal recruit in recruitment campaign, recruiting officers collect information about the factory workers and categories these details by the workers home town (eg:Dehiattakandiya, Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura). When they have selected an area to launch their campaign firstly they go through these details and identify workers coming from this area. Then they motivate these selected workers and their families to gather new people from this area. When the recruitment campaign lunched recruitment officers from the company visit these families and get the new people to the company. There is an external recruiting in recruiting campaign. For external recruitment they firstly select an area to visit and identify an important person within the area. Then they inform the people with the help of that person. Then company recruiters make contact with the people who are willing to join the organization. External recruitment campaign also can also do by individually visiting homes. Company recruiters visit house by house and inform the people and ask them whether they like to join the organization or not. Recruitment campaigns are usually held on January, December and the end of April. There is a reason for these specific months. When January and December most of the young ones finished their G.C.E (O/L) and they have cut their paddy and stopped working in paddy fields. So this is the time they are spending their time doing nothing. So apparel sector companies like ABC Company launch their campaigns in these months. Many workers in the company go to their families to celebrate Sinhala and Tamil New Year in April. Most of the workers do not return to the company. So the company forces to launch a campaign in these times.
