WHAT IF...? What if a bin of newspapers was not a bin of newspapers?

What if it was a COMMONS where the PUBLIC could RELAY information (LISTS of LINKS to ALT.NEWS SOURCES, FREE ONLINE LIBRARIES, DOCUMENTARIES, and GUIDES TO ONLINE PRIVACY, IRC, USENET, & TORRENTS)? The INTERNET gave us all a glimpse of a NEW KIND OF COMMUNITY, one where the FREE FLOW OF INFORMATION could aid in the PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT of one and all... and allow us to combat the disinformation which so-called experts (usually hacks who paraphrase government- and corporate-issued press releases) weave into grand narratives (Bombing Iraq serves global peace and economic development) or systems (trickle-down economics) which keep us malnourished, malcontent, divided, and impotent.
