In an increasingly globalized world, no country can escape to implement changes in technology and modernize its infrastructure, without running the risk of being left behind. Mexico is no exception, transporting people and goods is, without doubt, a fundamental tool for progress. Air transport is one of the most useful, safe and ecient ways that has reached modernity, unimaginable several years ago. Proof of this are the increasingly sophisticated aircraft to the skies at remarkable speeds, and the end systems and facilities, ensuring its operation. In this context, airports are an essential part of the aviation sector and almost letter from one country to the rest of the world. Benito Jurez International Airport Mexico City (AICM) began operations in 1952. Since then it has been a strategic international station, and today is the largest airport in Latin America, in terms of number of operations, movement of passengers and cargo. It is also one of the most attractive in the world for tourism, culture and business. With the expansion developed in its terminals 1 and 2 in recent years, the AICM has expanded its operating margins, which can meet the grade 97 aircraft simultaneously at 97 positions of both contact and remote and is capable of meeting conditions optimal up to 32 million passengers annually. The Federal Government, occupied by bringing Mexico to the highest levels of the airport industry worldwide, has conducted a series of actions never before experienced in the Air Terminal. The Ministry of Communications and Transport, Airports and Auxiliary Services and AICM own, have joined forces to permanently modernize infrastructure including security systems at all levels, to make the facility more comfortable, accessible and safe. This guide contains important information that can help easily move inside the premises of the AICM, besides providing useful information for passengers and users. A great job has been done, but there is still a long way to go. Eorts are needed to consolidate what was achieved and undertake new projects to benet our passengers, for the benet of Mexico.

Bienvenida

En un mundo cada vez ms globalizado, ningn pas puede sustraerse de aplicar cambios tecnolgicos y modernizar su infraestructura, sin correr el riesgo de quedarse rezagado. Mxico no es la excepcin, el transporte de personas y mercancas es, sin lugar a dudas, herramienta fundamental para el progreso. El transporte areo es uno de los medios ms tiles, seguros y ecientes, que ha alcanzado niveles de modernidad, hasta hace algunos aos inimaginables. Prueba de ello, son los aviones cada vez ms sosticados que surcan los cielos a velocidades extraordinarias, as como los sistemas e instalaciones de punta, que garantizan su operacin. En este contexto, los aeropuertos son parte indispensable del sector aeronutico y prcticamente la carta de presentacin de un pas hacia el resto del mundo. El Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Jurez Ciudad de Mxico (AICM) inici operaciones en el ao 1952. Desde entonces, ha sido una de las estaciones estratgicas internacionales y hoy da es el aeropuerto ms importante de Amrica Latina, en cuanto a nmero de operaciones, movimiento de pasajeros y carga transportada. Tambin es uno de los ms atractivos del mundo en materia de turismo, cultura y negocios. Con la expansin desarrollada en sus terminales 1 y 2 en los ltimos aos, el AICM ha logrado ampliar sus mrgenes de operacin, al grado que puede atender 97 aeronaves de manera simultnea en 97 posiciones tanto de contacto como remotas y tiene capacidad de atender en condiciones ptimas hasta 32 millones de pasajeros anuales. El Gobierno Federal, ocupado por llevar a Mxico a los mejores niveles de la industria aeroportuaria a nivel mundial, ha realizado una serie de acciones nunca antes experimentadas en esta Terminal Area. La Secretara de Comunicaciones y Transportes, Aeropuertos y Servicios Auxiliares y el propio AICM, hemos unido esfuerzos para modernizar permanentemente la infraestructura incluyendo los sistemas de seguridad en todos los niveles, para hacer las instalaciones ms confortables, accesibles y seguras. Esta gua contiene informacin importante que puede ayudar a desplazarse fcilmente dentro de las instalaciones del AICM, adems de proporcionar datos de inters para pasajeros y usuarios. Se ha hecho una gran labor, pero queda mucho camino por recorrer. Es necesario redoblar esfuerzos para consolidar lo alcanzado y emprender nuevos proyectos, en benecio de nuestros pasajeros, en benecio de Mxico.

Travel Tips

Tips de Viaje
Como viajar mejor:
Antes de su vuelo tome suciente agua, sto le ayudar a prevenir el dolor de cabeza; no coma mucho para evitar la indigestin y la hipertensin; trate de dormir durante el viaje e intente caminar un poco por el pasillo del avin. Si en algn momento se siente mal hable con el personal de vuelo o del aeropuerto para recibir asistencia. Si usted padece de alguna enfermedad, consulte a su mdico antes de viajar *Se consideran menores de edad a las personas entre 5 a 17 aos de edad. *Los menores de 5 aos de edad, deben viajar con un familiar o conocido. *Mayores de 15 aos de edad es opcional el pago por concepto de acompaante de la aerolnea. *En el rea de informacin de la aerolnea, se proporcionan los formatos que deben llenarse para que el menor pueda viajar, es necesario mostrar una identicacin ocial y realizar el pago correspondiente

En caso de que haya olvidado su equipaje o algn otro objeto en los ambulatorios o en las bandas de rayos X, puede preguntar en la ocina de objetos perdidos y recuperarlos en su caso. Para ello deber cumplir con los siguientes requisitos: *Copia de identicacin. *Copia de su pase de abordar. *Indicar donde extravo sus pertenencias y describir el contenido de su maleta. *Carta a poder simple, si no fuese el titular quien recogiera el equipaje, artculo perdido o retenido. Es importante aclarar que usted cuenta con 60 das naturales para recuperar sus objetos retenidos en los ltros presentando su contrasea y en el caso de objetos perdidos y prendas de vestir contar con 30 das naturales.

Transportacin terrestre: Las lneas comerciales que viajan a Cuernavaca, Pachuca, Puebla, Toluca, Quertaro y Crdoba Veracruz, as como el servicio de los autobuses charters, brindan sus servicios en la Terminal Terrestre de la Terminal 1, la cual est ubicada a un costado del edicio. En la Terminal 2 se localiza a un costado de llegadas nacionales. Taxis autorizados: En la Terminal 1 y 2, los taxis autorizados dan servicio, tanto en la puerta de llegada internacional, como en la nacional. En ambos casos los mdulos de venta de boletos para los taxis, se encuentran cerca de las salas de llegada y en la zona del ambulatorio; las tarifas que se aplican, se encuentran a la vista del usuario y estn autorizadas por la SCT. Por su seguridad, le recomendamos que slo utilice los servicios de los taxis autorizados por este aeropuerto, los cuales son: Porto Taxi, Nueva Imagen y Excelencia en Terminal 1; y Porto Taxi, Nueva Imagen, Excelencia, Confort y Yellow Cab en Terminal 2. Cualquier otro servicio elegido es ilegal. Es muy importante considerar las distancias y horarios antes de hacer cualquier trayecto dentro de la Ciudad, pues de lo contrario se asegurara un retraso. Asistencia Vial (Radar) 5531-7073 Transportacin de hoteles: Se cuenta con servicio de transportacin a hoteles (Shuttle), que dar su servicio en la Terminal 1 en la puerta 4 y en la Terminal 2 podr pedir este servicio en los locales de cada uno de los hoteles que se encuentran en la planta baja.
