Construction activities have been initiated July 2011. The project is expected to take 8 months to complete. White Ground Road will be closed during the construction of the replacement bridge.

Construction will typically occur weekdays between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with occasional weekend work.
Contractor
Under Montgomery County Procurement Regulations, construction projects are awarded through a competitive process. Rustler Construction, Inc. submitted the lowest responsible and responsive bid for this project. Rustler Construction is located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland and has completed several similar projects for Montgomery County and a variety of jurisdictions, including the Maryland State Highway Administration and several local jurisdictions in Maryland and Virginia. The construction contract is valued at approximately $900,000 and is within the budget established for the project.
