Faith: 1) Why did God allow all those horrible
tidal waves to come rushing across hundreds or

people and destroying
so much of everything?
Hope: 2) But why Mourning her dead on the beach. Millions dead, missing,
or wounded. Why?
did the news report that
not one elephant, or even one rabbit got killed by it when all those hundreds of
thousands of people got hit? 3) Did God do something special for the animals? The
news reporter asked, “How did the animals know? Do they have a ‘sixth sense?’”
Charity: 4) And why did Reuters news agency report the other day that they
found an 18 month old baby floating out in the ocean on a

because people here are pure and good - like this rich, smiling man in Las Vegas with

Charity: 13) Did God bring these great tidal waves, or did the
devil do it? 14) Why didn’t Jesus prevent it?
Hope: 15) Why has God waited until we’re here in the end of the
world for many of the great calamities and horrors to happen? 16)

Faith: 17) What about the promises of God - where He promises
to protect us from evil? We see that He has been working to protect
us all our lives. He also protected Samson against 1000 Philistine
soldiers, and gave him power to kill them all with the jawbone of an
ass. He gave David protection from King Saul when he was hiding
in a cave. He protected Martin Luther against the pope of Rome,
against the world-wide church, and against all the armies of
Germany and the world. He protected dear Jesus in the boat in the

about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented?” Yes.
And was it made good for the godly people who were killed in the tidal waves the
day after Christmas?
Yes. God’s promise was kept for them too. 1) Suffering for Christ’s sake, or 2)
dying “in Christ,” are not the “evil” that the Bible promises to protect us from -
{although our kind Father has saved us from suffering and death many times, and will
continue to do so until our work in the world, and for the world is over. This daily
protection from suffering and from the first death is part of the great blessings He
constantly gives us. We can be grateful for it every hour of every day! That’s why we
can “Rejoice in the Lord always.” “In everything give thanks.” Remember that as long
as God has a work for you to do for souls, He will keep you alive to do it.
The more a person learns of God’s ways, the more he sees that, 1) suffering for
Christ, or 2) dying “in Christ” are not “evil” at all, but are actually causes for rejoicing.
The Bible reveals that the death of His people is a “blessed” thing {see Rev. 14:13},
and is actually “precious” to Him! {See Ps. 116:15}. Like the martyrs {who were singing
Helena Petrovna Blavatsky for joy while dying}, suffering for Christ brings a very close sense of His presence. And
that is “heaven on earth!” A person senses His close presence after he is truly converted
{and sometimes, before}. We’ll sense His close presence when the latter rain falls as

you’ll feel like “my comeliness was turned in me into corruption.” Daniel 10:8. And

Hope: What about the animals who didn’t get killed in the great tidal waves? How could that be? Did God give
them a 6th sense? The world should marvel! Is there a spiritual lesson?
Pastor Jan: On a program I accidently saw while looking for the news, the game warden being interviewed {in one
of those countries} showed a herd of elephants, and said that not one elephant died from the Tsunami. They all ran away
from the coast before great waves came. He said that “Not one rabbit died.” Not one wild land animal died that they
found. Why? He said that elephants can feel the vibrations of an earthquake through their feet. He said that the
elephants felt the danger coming and gave out their trumpet sound. From giving the trumpet a certain sound, the birds
were alerted, and flew far and near giving their sound. The squirrels were alerted in the trees, and gave out their sound.
The great animal network of nature heard, and gave the trumpet a certain sound, and were saved. Praise God! It makes
chills go down my back. It makes tears run down my face.
Charity: What about us? Do we know more than the animals? In view of what’s coming to billions in the coming
months, will we give the trumpet a certain sound?
