Analyzer Update
1 In this version
This release contains support for new and updated file formats. There are updates for most technologies that Actix supports, with changes falling under the following categories:
New collection device support Added support for TEMS version 12.1. Added support for TEMS Indoor waypoint files (*.ppf). Added support JDSU E6474A version 16.0-1. Added support for SeeHawk version 1.0.0.11.
Analyzer / Spotlight improvements New LTE cluster acceptance report, available both in Analyzer and Spotlight. Added support for FTP uploads to the Spotlight Data Service Analysis report.
Known issues / obsolescence Some problems have been introduced when implementing support for TEMS 12.1. These problems depend on third party software and cannot be resolved by Actix.
June 2011
[Case 59030] A problem has been resolved that prevented newer PMR log files with an unsupported header from loading.
Support of Spotlight Data Service Analysis has been improved. [Case 59473] Improvements to HSDPA support.
Added support for E6474A version 16.0-1, which improves support for DC-HSDPA. Note that LTE is not yet supported.
[Case 57620] Sub-band CQI measurements are set in a new attribute: LTE_UE_CQI_for_SubBand.
[Case 57732] A new attribute is now set for HSUPA PLA usage: Uu_HSUPA_Usage_for_TrChLink.
[Case 56676] Support for data applications has been improved (more attributes are set in the Data Testing node and Spotlight Data Service Analysis is fully supported).
June 2011
[Case 57603] A problem has been resolved that could cause attribute ServMsTxPowerActual to be set incorrectly. Improvements to Message Browsers decoding of some Nokia chipset messages.
[Case 57915] Added support for SeeHawk version 1.0.0.11. [Case 59202, 59320] A problem has been resolved that caused messages reporting GSM 850 measurements to be interpreted as CDMA messages.
[Case 59171] In LTE, new attributes are set for the PDCP throughput: LTE_UE_Throughput_PDCP_UL and LTE_UE_Throughput_PDCP_DL.
[Case 58356] The speech codec rate is now set under attributes Codec_Rate_UL and Codec_Rate_DL. [Case 58135] In GSM, a problem has been resolved whereby attribute ServCI could be set too late, sometimes causing drop events to be pegged on the wrong cell.
Added support for TEMS 12.1. [Case 58108] Added support for TEMS Indoor waypoint files (*.ppf). [Case 57372] Two new attributes can now be set in TEMS: VSQI_Intermediate_Score and VSQI_Realtime_Score. [Case 58209] A problem has been resolved that could cause Analyzer to crash because of a lack of memory when a log file was loaded containing a stream with no message. [Case 57617] A problem has been resolved that could cause GPS attributes to be missing for TEMS version 8.2.4 CDMA log files.
June 2011
[Case 57775, 58302, 58333] A problem has been resolved that caused some TEMS log files to have latitude and longitude swapped. [Case 55790] A problem has been resolved that could cause Analyzer to crash because of a lack of memory when loading large GSM log files. [Case 58495] A problem has been resolved that prevented raw IP packets from being decoded.
2.14 Generic
[Case 58470] A problem has been resolved with attributes LTE_UE_RB_Num_DL and LTE_UE_RB_Num_UL that caused the map legend to look wrong when location or time binning was used. In UMTS, a problem has been resolved that could cause the PS data rate to be incorrectly calculated when RRC release 8 messages were exchanged between the UE and the RAN and the handset was in release 99 PS mode (that is, not in HSPA mode).

Macros in reports can be switched off by setting a DWORD value called ReportMacrosDisabled in HKCU\Software\Actix\Analyzer to 1.
3.2 New LTE cluster acceptance report for Analyzer and Spotlight
The Analyzer report can be opened from any LTE handset streams. The Spotlight report is available in the LTE project template. Note that the report is not available for projects created with an earlier version of Spotlight. The thresholds for the report can be configured in the LTE section of the threshold editor under Tools > Display Thresholds.
3.3 Added support for FTP upload in Spotlight Data Service Analysis Report
Support for FTP upload has been added to the Spotlight Data Service Analysis Report. Note that FTP upload is not supported for projects created with an earlier version of Spotlight.
[Case 58479] A problem has been resolved that prevented the report from opening on machines using Excel 2010.
June 2011
[Case 55719] A problem has been resolved that prevented the report from opening on machines using Excel 2007.
[Case 57992] The throughput axis of HSDPA stateform View > Forms > HSDPA > HSDPA Low Raw Throughput Radio Info Chart now scales automatically, depending on the throughput achieved by the UE.
A problem has been resolved that caused no PN to be displayed for SINR summary in the side panel of Event Explorer. Spotlight drilldown is now supported for Ping tests.
Added support for Chinese Bing maps, which can be switched on by creating a DWORD value called "ChineseBackgroundMap" in HKCU\Software\Actix\Analyzer and setting it to 1. Note that Bing only supports the Chinese language for the Road view; the Aerial with labels view is always in English.
[Case 58657] A problem has been resolved that caused the GPS coordinates to be wrongly imported into the drive data when using the Railway Positioning Wizard.
June 2011
In LTE, some key attributes are missing for Samsung chipset (such as LTE_UE_RSRQ). Attributes under Data Testing node are no longer set for iPerf tasks if IP raw data was not logged in the file. As a consequence, Spotlight Data Service Analysis does not work for iPerf tasks. GPS attributes are missing in some TEMS 12.x LTE log files. The attributes that correspond to the average throughput of a task (App_Throughput_UL_Mean and App_Throughput_DL_Mean) can be noisy, that is the values might differ by up to 5% for the same task when the same log file is loaded several times in Analyzer. In TEMS 6.x log files and earlier, the GPS measurements at the last message may be corrupted. In TEMS WCDMA 3.x log files, some GPS measurements may be missing.
