The stainless steel Perl faucet is unique in both appearance and function. It's revolutionary Perl ball and floating O-ring design eliminates the need for a valve shaft. Internal parts are not exposed to air so the handle lever doesn't stick and there is no build up of mold and bacteria in the faucet body. The Perl faucet has fewer internal parts for better reliability and fewer service calls. A polished interior produces a smooth flow with less foaming. The knob is sold separately. All Perl faucets include a stainless steel handle for strength and sanitation.

Pushing the Perl handle back moves a stainless steel piston, exposing small holes. The turbulence created by beer passing through the holes produces a creamy head. When the handle is released, an internal compression spring moves the piston back, stopping the beer flow.

Air-cooled beer system efficiency depends on temperature. It is important to use the cooler for beer storage only so that a consistent temperature between 34 and 38 F. can be maintained. The maximum recommended length is 25 feet requiring 1,000 BTU/hr. of additional refrigeration capacity. Air shafts are available from Perlick in 12 foot lengths, 512" O.D., insulated at the factory and consist of a tube within a tube. They can be easily installed in the field using the below listed parts. For systems that are six feet or less, see "Thru-the-Wall Air Shafts" listed below. For dispensing heads and drainers, see pages. 20 and 21.

THrU-THe-wall air SHaFTS

For installations up to 6 feet long A full line of air shafts is available for short run installations up to six feet long, complete with a mounting collar for the dispensing head, 15 CFM blower and bracket and balanced beverage lines. Prices reflect six foot lengths. Shafts under two feet long are equipped with 316" I.D. beverage lines four feet long. All other shafts are furnished with balanced connectors nine feet long that can be cut off and sized on the job site.
