The Day of Atonement:

Opening Scripture: Romans 5 How much did God really love us? Jesus' death became the sin offering like unto the goat sacrificed in Lev 16:8-10 and at his resurrection he became the scapegoat (Lev 16:21-22) by entering into a place uninhabited (John 20:16-17) taking away our sins (1 John 3:5) from the world by ascending to heaven. (John 3:13)
Paul writes that the sacrificial law is abolished (Ephesians 2:14-16) being that Jesus became the final sacrifice taking away all sin into heaven where he appeared before the Father to make atonement for the sins of the world (Leviticus 16:22-30) after the resurrection of Jesus Christ was fulfilled by the Father who redeemed him to become the Son of God. John the Baptist knew that Jesus was the final sacrifice and he suffered him the sins of the world before he was baptized (Matthew 3:13-15). And in Matthew 4, Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil as his soul was afflicted for 40 days and 40 nights he fasted relying only on the Word of God as he now has took on the sins of the world. Jesus our Passover Lamb was called the Lamb of God for he was crucified on the Passover (Matthew 16:18-28), the 14th Day of the Month (Leviticus 23:5, 9-12) and made the atonement for our sins known as the Day of Atonement (Leviticus 23:26-28). By Jesus we are made joint heirs (Romans 8:16-18) to the throne of Jesus the Father through his Son who died and testified of all that is written thereof; for Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath, Redeemer of mankind, God, and our High Priest (Hebrews 10:19-21) of an everlasting covenant. (Hebrews 13:20-21)
