A list stemming from this project, in which I collect scores from two dozen meta l/rock review sites to compose aggregate scores for metal albums: http://www.last.fm/user/Ty..._metal_reviews This time I'm looking at overall band scores by adding up their album scores and

dividing by the total. Just as each album requires four scores to make it into the list (to ensure it's a proper aggregate), a band requires four album scores to make it into this one. I also don't include those albums pre-1988 where I've allowed them into the full list with just three scores: they're useful to know, but not counted for these highest/lowest lists. Remember these are aggregate scores: some classic bands will be further down if they had bad albums among all their good ones. Please note this one takes a lot of work to update, so updates will be infrequen t.
