What is the difference between STRESS & PRESSURE, please explain ? what is "ENERGY"?

Stress: This is nothing but the restoring force. You can say like when a force is applied to an object the material in it will try to oppose this force by resisting the applied force or you can say a resistance force. This force per unit area is nothing but stress. Pressure is the force a fliud delivers when it being compresses/ unit area. Pls do not get confuse as both has same units( N/sq.m)
Stress is restoring force developed in the body due to any tensile, compressive or any other force per unit area and on the other hand pressure is force applied on a body per unit area.

Pressure is the ratio of normal force and area perpendicular to this force whereas Stress is the ratio of the reactive force produced due to the strain produced in the object and the area on which the stress acts

'The force per area acting on a material and causing strain.' Stress and pressure = force/area, measured in pascals. The difference is: - Pressure is the applied and distributed external force. - Stress is how the body having the force exerted upon it counteracts the pressure.

Stress is usually used for solid substances for forces developed in them which have a tendency to restore the solid to its original state in response to outside influences which puts it in a different state. Supposing I pull a spring. to extend it. the spring develops forces which tend to contract it. This is called stress. Restoring force developed per unit area is called stress. Pressure in a fluid also serves similar purpose when we try to compress them. Bu pressure in a fluid has existence even when we do not try to change their state. In that sense pressure in a fluid should be better defined as energy per unit volume than force on unit area on any imaginary surface held in te fluid. The work done to keep the substance stressed/pressured can be called its energy, which is basically potential energy for solids and kinetic only for ideal gases We know that every materials is elastic in nature , so when a force is applied it tends to deform and due to this deformation , there is an internal resistance produced which tends to spring back the molecules to their original position and this internal resistance per unit area is know

as STRESS . Pressure is nothing but force acting on a unit area . stress is internal reaction where as pressure is external.. stress is internal resisance to external load where as pressure is external force applied upon the surface. when a force acting on a body, a force created inside body that is called stress, the force acting on the body is called pressure, stress may be in tension or compression or shear. pressure is only in compression.

Torque is the rotational force acting on a component around its axis A moment is the force acting on a component horizontally through its axis
