Speech Act Theory As a member of the academe I can apply this theory when I am in my Speech class wherein Im elaborating things to my students the use of verbal and nonverbal communication. That in both forms of communication we need to be careful in conveying it because in every little actions that we do and in every words that we say so we need to be responsible for our actions because most of the time people around us would think of different meaning of it and most of the time they used to repeat/copy our actions. c. Constructivist Theory Admit it or not every one of us has a difficulty in dealing with other people because we have different points of view and culture. Personally I always have this kind of difficulty when I am going to deal with new acquaintances maybe because I was afraid to be rejected and Im not good in socialization but later on I overcome this difficulty when I started to teach. Because during that time i realize that to become a good communicator I must deal with my fears by engaging myself in dealing with people carefully and with proper understanding and theres nothing to be afraid of if I am going to leave my comfort zone. 2.
