Dear Supporters and Stakeholders, I wanted to take an opportunity to thank you all for the support you have given to myself, to our students, and to their teachers over the past few months as we prepared to launch our IB program. Without that support, we would never have launched as successfully as we didwith a full complement of 50 students preparing for a four-year journey to the IB Diploma! Recently, The Florida Times-Union published a story about the success of the first class of the IB students at Ribault High School. The story (see link below) references the relative success rate of the program at Ribault (2 diploma graduates) with Stantons first year (3 diploma graduates). I will not now and never will state that IB is an easy program. But as I tell our students Every student who walks through our doors does so because we
fervently believe that THEY ARE IB DIPLOMA GRADUATES IN THE MAKING. Our work will be long and difficult, there will be late hours, complicated assignments, and trying choices, but I ask that we keep our eyes on the prize-our students success. It is with that that I unveil the following long-term goal for Class of 2014: 100% of students of the Edward H. White High School International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme who complete the four-year program will earn the IB Diploma. This is a difficult goal, some would call it impossible. We will have to work hard, and push ourselves to our limits and beyond. But our success is worth vastly more-and the success of our students, our family, cannot be measured. The truth is that we exist to push the boundaries, to go where no one has gone before-and so this is our mission.
Support us. Support your Children. Support our Future. Thank you all for your support-and let the mission and the journey begin!! Mr. Schemmel

Help your teen base his or her life on principles with the tips below.
Help your teen base his or her life on principles with the tips below. From Foundations Family Newsletter
Have a discussion with your teen about principles. Get him or her to identify some principles that are important in his or her life. Once you and your teen have nailed down some principles, talk about how these principles can be put into action every day. Encourage living by principles by ensuring your teen has good role models. Its not as hard as you might thinktry talking about the principles characters in a movie or TV program live by. Remember, you are a role model too! Make sure to live each day by the same principles you expect your teen to follow. Next time your teen faces a tough decision, encourage him or her to let principles act as a compass to guide him or her through it. Principles are powerful tools. Once your teen realizes that principles arent just abstract concepts, he or she will realize their power. Hard work, patience, honesty and persistence are some good principles to encourage your teen to follow. These Principles lead to success! These principles are natural laws and have consequences. Help your teen see and enjoy benefits of a principle-based lifeboth now and in the future.
The 7 Peer Pressure will lose its Habits steam with your teen if he or Tip: she is firmly anchored with Principles.
Principles:
Basic truths that can guide our thoughts and actions, and that always have consequences.
Principles are the things that Really matter: love, honesty, respect, loyalty. Although sticking to values may not seem cool to your teen, its very important because by basing his or her life and character on principles your teen will have a solid foundation to support him or her through life- no matter what happens
