After having proven ourselves as an established EPC Contractors of Materials Handling, Energo has set out to
offer components/sub-components of Belt Conveying Systems as individual products. We manufacture
complete range of Idlers and Rollers for wide range of applications including materials such as Coal, Lignite,
Coke, Iron-ore, Cement, Fertilizer, Slag, Stones and Cement /Fertilizer bag etc.

The technical specification in this literature has been drawn from IS-8598/IPSS 2-03-004-85. A belt conveyor
consists of two or more pulleys with continuous loop of conveyor belt, that rotates about them. One or both the
pulleys are powered, moving the belt and the material on the belt forward. The powered pulley is called the
drive pulley while the rotating / supporting intermediate rollers are called Idler. Energo Idlers function as
carrying, return, self aligning, impact, transition, picking and feeding, self cleaning, V-type, Garland type,
impact type etc. We offer both sealed for life with deep grooved ball bearings, alternatively, with seizeresistant ball bearing. Re-Greasable type Idlers, by providing grease nipple are also available.

Rollers are the essential support and guide elements of the belt and must maintain suitable characteristics

Bearing Housing

Deep drawing quality steel used.

Housing are welded to both ends of tube
simultaneously by an automatic welding
machine forming mono-block design to
ensure rigidity and minimum out of
roundness

Normally 10 gauge sheet used or as

per requirement

of load, seal and reliability even in difficult environmental conditions. Roller should also have a working life
of several years with minimum resistance to movement.

Shaft

The rollers are provided with shaft made

from bright bar conforming to IS9550 as standard. Black bar/EN-8/C-45
can also be used if required. Bright bar
shafts are ground on centreless grinding
machine to give finish of high degree.

Besides conducting all routine tests stipulated as per CEMA / IS:8598 Standards, Energo puts each and every
Idler & Roller through rigorous testing schedules, especially created in-house at our Coimbatore Works. It has
been observed that while various standards such as CEMA quantify and classify Idlers & Rollers, and make
recommendations with regard to allowable loading and applications of different type of Idlers, very little attention
is generally given to the selection of correct Idler in terms of power consumption, noise generation, assembly
quality, sealing arrangement, correct grease selection, bearing selection etc.

Energo's life sealed Idlers have a guaranteed maintenance-free life of five years and not less than 25000 hours.
World-class manufacturing and Testing Facilities
Facilities for machining of both sides of the pipe simultaneously in one setting to ensure concentricity.
Machining, grinding & drilling facilities for finishing spindles/ shaft to for close tolerance.
Testing facilities to test for concentricity, sealing efficiency, axial, movement, guaranteed friction factor etc.
We lay great emphasis on painting as per specifications, and each product is provided with proper permanent
identification mark (embossed / engraved).
