Completed project on Automatic weather control of car air-conditioning system. In this project, according to the external and cabin temperature, the hot air from the heater and cold air from the Air Conditioner is mixed automatically and hence easy and efficient Air Conditioning is achieved. This mechanism involves the control of the duct mechanism present in the Air Conditioner setup by using a stepper motor. This system is designed and implemented using PIC microcontroller, an IC manufactured by Microchip Corporation. The main advantage of the project are compact design, economics and easy installation.

RESULT: Thus the profit is maximized by solving the linear programming problem. Max Z=93000 X1=260 X2=180 X3=0 33
PROCEDURE:
1. Convert the given problem into appropriate model (max or min) along with the constraint equations. 2. Define the changing cells(x1, x2, x3, etc) and enter some values (other than zero) in these cells. 3. Calculate the total profit or cost; enter the profit figures in the appropriate cells and calculate the total profit by using the formula. This total profit figure is the target cell in excel solver. 4. 5. Set up the resource usage/constraint in the subsequent rows and calculate the total in the corresponding column using the appropriate formula. Enter the constraint values by selecting the appropriate symbols for e.g.,>= or <= or =. 6. Set up the solver option from the tools menu after keeping the cursor in the target cell. The maximization or minimization radio button may also be selected as the case may be. 7. The changing cells are selected next. In the constraints table click on ADD and select the CELL REFERENCE and constraints with the appropriate sign. 8. Click on OPTIONS and put a tick mark in the ASSUME LINEAR MODEL & NON NEGATIVE boxes. 9. Click on SOLVE to get the solver results. Select ANSWER REPORT, SENSITIVITY REPORT and LIMITS REPORT from the right hand side of the dialog box and select KEEP SOLVER SOLUTION.

RESULT:
Thus the cost is minimized using the linear programming problem. Min Z=8000 X1=5 X2=1.5 Total number of days = 6.5
36
PROCEDURE:
From the TOOLS menu select DATA ANALYSIS and select ANALYSIS TOOL PACK and from the drop down menu select MOVING AVERAGE. To solve the problem, 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. In the input range, select the ACTUAL DEMAND values. Interval can be selected suitably, for e.g., 3 months, 4 months, 5 months etc. In the output range, leave the first row and select the rest of the column. Click on CHART OUTPUT option. Select the whole table and click on the chart icon in the excel toolbar to get the chart.
37
OUTPUT:
38
RESULT:
Total absolute deviation = 104.00(3 weeks), 92.6(5 weeks), 96.29(7 weeks). Mean absolute deviation = 10.40(3 weeks), 9.26(5 weeks), 9.63(7 weeks). Thus the mean absolute deviation(MAD) value is less for 5 week moving average and it is used to estimate the forecast. 39
PROCEDURE:
From the tool analysis pack, choose exponential smoothing 1. Choose actual demand as the input range. 2. Damping factor=1- . 3. For output range, select entire column next to the actual demand column 4. Click ok to get the values, select the whole table and chart icon to get the chart.
40
OUTPUT:
41
RESULT:
Total absolute deviation = 4926.22( =0.6), 4963.89( =0.4), 4926.56( =0.2). Mean absolute deviation = 259.27( =0.6), 261.26( =0.4), 259.29( =0.2). Thus the forecast for sales figure is estimated. 42
PROCEDURE:
1. Select Formulas Insert function. 2. Select Forecast function. 3. Type the value of X. The value of X is equal to the week on which we are going to do the forecast value. 4. Select the actual demand column from week 1 to week 20 which will be known as Ys. 5. Select the week number from 1 to 20 which will be known as Xs. The forecasted value will be obtained. 6. Repeat the above mentioned procedure for remaining weeks as well.

PROCEDURE:
1. The given problem is converted into a transportation matrix which shows the requirements at the bottom row, the supply figures in the extreme right column and the cost figures in the main body of the matrix. 2. An initial solution using the North West corner rule will be the second table where the bottom row will be total shipped. 3. Cost calculations are done in the third table using the initial allotments and the corresponding costs. The total cost will be the target cell for the solver. 4. The changing cells are the initial allotments done using the North West corner rule. 5. Constraint equations are set up in the solver box by equating the total supply and the total requirement and total shipped is greater than or equal to the total production capacity/supply. 6. From the Options tab, click ASSUME LINEAR MODEL AND NON NEGATIVE and then click SOLVE to solve the problem.
