Plant Tissue Culture Division

The Plant Tissue Culture division of Reliance Life Sciences (RLS) provides cutting-edge services in micro-propagation of plants, mass multiplication of elite varieties and contract production of clientspecific plant varieties. As part of its plant biotechnology initiative, RLS has established a state-of-the-art Plant Tissue Culture facility at Navi Mumbai, besides setting up several captive plantation sites for proven as well as experimental plant varieties.

Micro-propagation
Using the most efficient ways to produce crops that are difficult to propagate by conventional methods Mass multiplying elite varieties of existing and endangered plant species, irrespective of the season Rapid multiplication of elite varieties as per clientrequirement

Infrastructure
Production facility Modern state-of-art tissue culture lab production capacity of over 20 million plants/annum Total Production area of 30,000 square feet growth rooms, with temperature and humidity control Five separate inoculation rooms to avoid cross contamination Three than 100 varieties of Ornamentals, Horticulture, Plantation, More Medicinal and Aromatic plants in the culture stage for production Greenhouse Greenhouses fitted with fan and pad systems and foggers to control and maintain temperature and humidity Shade House for secondary hardening for in-vitro plants Plantation acres of land for cultivation and demonstration of tissue400 cultured plants
