Air pollution is a release into the atmosphere of any substances, ex.

chemicals
or airborne particles, which are harmful both to the human and animal health as well as the health of the wider environment. Carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, is the main pollutant that is warming Earth. Though living things emit carbon dioxide when they breathe, carbon

dioxide is widely considered to be a pollutant when associated with cars, planes, power plants, and other human activities that involve the burning of fossil fuels such as gasoline and natural gas.

Trawling is a method of fishing that involves pulling fishing net through the water
behind one or more boats. Bottom trawling is one example, it involves towing heavy fishing gear over the seabed, it can cause large scale destruction on the ocean bottom, including coral shattering, damage to habitats and removal of seaweed. The primary sources of impact are the doors, which can weigh several tonnes and create furrows if dragged along the bottom, and the footrope configuration, which usually remains in contact with the bottom across the entire lower edge of the net. Depending on the configuration, the footrope may turn over large rocks or boulders, possibly dragging them along with the net, disturb or damage sessile organisms or rework and re-suspend bottom sediments. These

impacts result in decreases in species diversity and ecological changes towards more opportunistic organisms. The destruction has been likened to clear-cutting in forests.

Deforestation

is the clearing of forests through the process of logging or

burning them down. Rainforests are being destroyed because big industries want the land for new developments. Less than half of the rainforests that used to cover our world are still around and it is predicted that in the near future there will be none left. Deforestation does not only wipe out large forests at a time but takes away all of the homes of the animals who lived in that habitat. Not only does deforestation hurt animals habitats, but it also is hurting the environment humans are living in. Rainforests produced large amounts of oxygen that people need to breathe. Rainforests are home to many different animals as well as people and by cutting them down you are destroying people's and animal's homes and habitats.

Environmental degradation is a process through which the natural environment is compromised in some way, reducing biological diversity and the general health of the environment. This process can be accelerated or caused by human activities.

Whether we like to admit it or not, our very own rapidly multiplying presence on this planet is the biggest environmental problem there is, , and its getting bigger by the minute. We voraciously consume resources, pollute the air and water, tear down natural habitats, introduce species into areas where they dont belong and destroy

ecosystems to the point of causing millions of species to become endangered and, all too often, go extinct.
