Print out Page 1 through Page 5. Cut out all the parts, fold along the mountain and valley fold lines, and glue together as shown in the figures.
The Colosseum was built in the days of ancient Rome as a facility for competitions and entertainment. It was a huge building, about 50 meters (165 feet) tall and 500 meters (1650 feet) in circumference. The word "Colosseum" comes from the Latin word colosseus, meaning "huge" or "colossal." It is said that the Colosseum was sometimes filled with water brought from a lake and used to stage mock naval battles.
