Aviation Flight Management

The Aviation - Flight Management Program at Confederation College has combined business, management and flight training into a unique program. The flight training has been designed to give the graduates their first aviation job with emphasis on 'bush' type training. The business and management training provides the graduates with the background knowledge to give them an excellent understanding of today's aviation industry. Applicants for the Aviation - Flight Management Program must obtain a Category 1 Medical Certificate before entry to the program. Flight training commences at the beginning of the first semester. Progression to successive semesters is achieved by passing all courses on the initial attempt with a minimum grade of 70% for aviation core courses, and minimum 60% for service courses. There are also specific flight training objectives that must be achieved in each semester. The college owns and operates 15 aircraft based at our Aviation Centre of Excellence hangar at the Thunder Bay Airport.
