The organised sector in India created 704,800 jobs between January 2011 and June 2011 and 369,200 more jobs are expected to be created by September 2011, according to the latest findings of Ma Foi Randstad Employment Trends Survey-Wave2. The survey was conducted among 690 companies across 13 industry segments panning eight Indian cities. According to the survey, the healthcare sector has remained the largest employment generator with 1,15,000 jobs created in H1, followed by the hospitality sector with 94,000 jobs created during the same period. The IT/ITeS sector, which witnessed a turnaround in 2010-11 by posting a double digit growth, continues to grow at the same pace and has added 91,000 jobs in H1. In the cities, New Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai continue to lead the job market generating 1,39,700 jobs between January and June 2011, as predicted earlier this year. KEY FINDINGS OF THE SURVEY: A significant increase in hiring was reported by the IT & ITeS sector in H1.This sector has also seen a salary increase of 17.9 per cent for lateral job shifts; Employment generation in the non-machinery manufacturing sector was lower than what was suggested by the key players in the sector during the last survey; The real estate & construction sector, which was among the top three in the same period in 2010, is now in the fifth position. At 15 per cent, this sector has also reported the lowest salary increase for lateral job shifts; Among the cities, Pune has reported a higher increase in the average salary (17.1 per cent) for lateral job shifts, followed by Bangalore (16.9 per cent) and Mumbai (16.8 per cent) during H1 of 2011; Hiring of experienced workforce is the highest in manufacturing with 7.3 per cent in the machinery and equipment sector in H1 The healthcare sector, on the other hand, opened its arms for more freshers (29.7 percent during the same period.

Misreading body language

Bodily communication is non-verbal; it is messages without words. It may follow certain accepted rules but is more likely to be unstructured. In fact, accurate body language is essential for success in interpersonal relations, be in the workplace or in personal life. However, much of our understanding of body language is instinctive, and quite a bit of it could be wrong, according to modern communications research. A very persistent belief is that people who cannot look you in the eye when they are talking to you are lying. However, nervousness or. cultural conditioning can inhibit someone from looking directly at you while speaking. Also, pathological liars have been found to have no problem in making eye contact. Putting your hands behind your back was considered to be a power gesture. As such, anyone who wants to look authoritative could try to convey it by this gesture. However, it is quite unreliable, and most people are not impressed by it. Steepling of fingers or stroking the chin, putting a finger on the cheek, are some gestures that are thought to convey being intellectual. However, there isnt any specific meaning to such gestures, though they could convey specific meanings in certain cultures. Smiling signals happiness. Although there can be many kinds of smiles such as the true smile or the false smile it does have an effect on true is taken to denote anger. It could also be due to fear, excitement or hysteria. Hence, if you are not really familiar with the individual and his/ her basic communication patterns and the context, there is no basis for drawing conclusion. An enduring belief is that a fast talker is less trustworthy than one who speaks slowly. However, someone who is speaking slowly may be as deceptive as a fast talker. A globalised workplace makes it imperative for people-to be wary of drawing conclusions based on non-verbal communication. Jayanti Ghose

SOLDERING WIRE
Introduction : Soldering is a process of joining solid components by introducing between them a solder (molten alloy) having a lower melting point than that of the base metal of the components being joined. The importance of soldering wire is shown by the multitudes of uses to which it is put. Soldering wire is widely used for manufacturing electronic circuits, for the joining of various components of television, radio, video cassette recorder and other home entertainment instruments of modern age. Soldering wire also finds its application in plumbing, making of automobile and aircraft radiators. In any developing country like India, soldering wire has very good scope, because of increasing consumers demand mainly in electronics and electrical. Properties and Characteristics : Soldering wire is a well known joining material and has been in a general use since long. Soldering wire is basically an alloy of tin and lead. A wide range of composition is used, the choice being determined by the particular application and price consideration. Soldering is a metallurgical joining method using a filler metal called solder with a melting point below 3150C. Soldering relies on welding for the bond formation and requires neither diffusion nor inter-metallx compound growth with the base metal to achieve bonding. Uses and Applications: The uses of soldering wire vary from quality to quality depending upon the percentage of base metal. It is very useful in the field of electronics, electrical and other fields. Market Survey:Soldering is an old process for joining solid components. Soldering has very vast field of application. Soldering wire is used in joining various components of electronics and electricals. The major consumers of soldering wire are electronics and electrical industries like radio, tape recorder, televisions, photographic instruments, various laboratory and industrial control and computer hardware manufactures. The continuously increasing demand and production of electric and electronic goods both for domestic and industrial/laboratory ensures the increasing demand of soldering wire. Future of 'soldering wire' industry is very bright, owing to its vast field of application. It comes under home scale industry, requiring a total plant and machinery cost around Rs. 10 lakhs.

Formulation
The following few types of lead tin and solders are commonly employed for different applications. Tin Percentage Lead percentage 60 40 50 50 40 60 30 70 Among the four types the first is very close to eutectic composition having lowest melting point and is mostly used in wide field of application. Raw Materials : Lead and tin Machinery Required The following machinery are required for the manufacturing the soldering wires: Extrusion process Dies for Extrusion process Moulds and handling equipments Small melting furnace Crucible etc.Manufacturing Process : Manufacturing process of soldering wire is very simple. The required tin-lead ratio in which the solder wire is to be made is melted in crucible in coke fire furnace. To improve its quality. 0.5% antimony is added. The molten metal is poured in metal moulds. The metal moulds are just like wax candle moulds of size 1 meter length and 2 cm diameter. An iron rod of 3 mm. diameter is fixed in the mould containing molten compound. When the molten compound solidifies remove the iron rod from the hole followed by the pouring of molten wood resin. Then bars are removed and fed into the rolling plant where the diameter of the bars is reduced to about 5 mm. diameter wire is again made to pass through rolling machine where the diameter of this wire is reduced upto 2 mm.
