The story that I would like to develop in my community is the Love Life (thandimpilo) games that are held every day on Wednesday in our community hall

These games are a good way of keeping the youth out of the street and away from possible addictions such as alcohol, drugs, gambling and becoming convicts who are feared in the community, in as much as these games are good for the youth I strongly believe that a better day could be set for the youth because a Wednesday is not well suited because they have got school the following day and from my personal experiences with my siblings and cousins going to these games they came back home either to tired to do their regular chores nor do their homework. I strongly believe that this games should be on Friday or Saturday because these games are beneficial to the youth.

Having the games played on the weekend will greatly decrease the number of undone chores at home and for the undone homework as well ,this games are too beneficial because the youth gets to know more about the dangers of everyday living for example the dangers of HIV, electricity, the conservation of the earth and water they also have games that increase their thinking abilities teaching them about global warming and how they can change the world by informing their loved ones . these games keep one fit emotionally, mentally and physically too.

As a community development worker Miss Najafi analysed and looked at a community she communicated with the local community members asking them about what are their interest and needs when it comes to development. By analysing the community Miss Najafi is now able to identify the things that the community needs, she also spoke to one of the local members to see if they needed any development, she saw that the community on lacked on essential needs such as education & healthcare. By communicating with the community it makes it easier for them to trust you in assisting and aiding them with development ideas. By the means of communication her main intention was getting to know the community better and to find out about their problems in order for her to give them guidance, and making contact with the community creates trust amongst the community worker and community at large. Miss Najafi used the method of most community development workers that failed like Mr Dladla who failed to be an enabler, advisor, guide, facilitator and an advocate role. The management team method worked wonders because the community being empowered and motivated to achieve more and do good. As for Mr Dladla he failed to look analyse and see the problems and help in aiding the community he works in, instead of being a helper for the good he ends up having enemies because of his carelessness. The farmers segregated themselves and had to choose sides, Mr Dladla failed as a community worker because he failed in letting the farmers participate in decision making for the development of the farm. He acted as if he too was a farmer and had a friend in which whom he favoured he banned an existing organisation without consulting the headman so failure to communicate left the CDW in an indirect conflict.

Mr Dladla should have asked the headman why the organisation was a failure and try to give him ideas on how he could develop and empower the rest of the farmers to do more but the CDW failed to do that which led to calm conflicts because the headman also chaired a meeting without the presence of Mr Dladla because he failed to work as a developer he failed to make contact with the local members he took part in the decision that where made instead of empowering and motivating the community at large he went into the community with the belief that the community needed a professional like him in order for the community to develop as a whole
