WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM The three ALWIS modules, the Warehouse Management System, the Online System and the Information System, enable optimized interaction between people, technology and information.

INCOMING GOODS STORAGE LOCATION MANAGEMENT MATERIAL FLOW CONTROL PICKING PLANNING OUTGOING GOODS
INCOMING GOODS ALWIS begins at a critical point in the warehouse: Incoming Goods. In order to avoid errors that can later affect processes in the entire warehouse, "Missing Item Master Data" can be completed already in the Incoming Goods area. Only one scan per load carrier is the ALWIS principal! ALWIS processes all commercial barcodes (e.g. EAN 128, EAN 13) and incoming goods without barcodes are processed quickly and efficiently.
CROSS-DOCKING Cross-docking is a valuable optimization tool. The goods are delivered "just in time" and do not remain in the warehouse longer than necessary. The control of cross-docking goods by unloading them directly at the allocated area for outgoing goods is also very convenient.
WAREHOUSE MODELING "Warehouse Modeling" forms the basis for the correct control and assessment of all goods flows. Only after creating a detailed model of your warehouse, can the optimization of goods flows and business processes be achieved. Of course, variable storage strategies can be applied as well.

FORKLIFT CONTROL SYSTEM PICKING CONTROL SYSTEM CONDENSING LOAD CHECKS ONLINE PICKING SYSTEM
PICKING CONTROL SYSTEM The ALWIS Picking Control System for online picking can be used in different warehouses: Be it for 10,000 picks or 150,000 picks per day. The system manages this task easily. A multitude of technical possibilities is available to guide the operators. They range from a display on the picking vehicle via mobile handheld terminals with scanners to voice operated headsets. With the integration of the barcode information, the relevant warehouse data can be accessed quickly and error-free and are then processed online (e.g. for picking of weight articles). Whether picking in the food area (dry, deep-freeze, refrigerated area, or fruit and vegetables) or in the non-food area (small parts, hanging goods, yardage goods) - the application of ALWIS is possible for many different product ranges. The control and assignment of the picking orders can be done automatically and manually with ALWIS at all times. The prioritizing and splitting of orders allows you to pick goods just in time, i.e. just before delivery starts.
CONDENSING AND LOAD CONTROL No one likes transporting air! For that reason, the packing density of load carriers can be increased with ALWIS. It is equally important that the picked goods are delivered by the intended transport equipment. The system's Load Control is responsible for this. Only when all load carriers are brought onto the correct vehicle can they leave the ramp. With all of the system supported work operations, it is possible to communicate between the control stations and the mobile terminals with the ALWIS Messaging System.
INFORMATION SYSTEM
EVERYTHING IN OVERVIEW
PERSONNEL REQUIREMENT PLANNING The ALWIS Information System can carry out exact personnel requirement planning for all areas of a warehouse. Electronic dispatch notifications and customer orders are also taken into consideration in advance when planning personnel requirements.
TIME CALCULATION AND BONUS SYSTEM The question "How productive are my personnel?" can be easily answered with ALWIS. A realistic allotted time can be calculated based on cycle times, picking times, classification of items in handling classes (according to size and type of item) and consideration of the picking method. Comparison of the exact time calculation of a picking order with the actual time taken, determines the actual productivity and thus the efficiency of the picking operator (individual or area-based). This can entitle the operator to a bonus. Further advantages can develop via interfaces to other company areas. For example, the transmission of the logged time to the existing payroll accounting system replaces the manual registration of work times. All of this significantly increases the efficiency in your warehouse.
SIMULATION Create your virtual warehouse and analyze your warehouse topology! ALWIS allows you to model your own virtual warehouse and simulate the duration of your business processes with real data over a defined time period (e.g. last month). You then receive the evaluation of your new warehouse topology. You can carry out this analysis of your warehouse without having to make any physical changes. Thus, you can respond quickly to the different work processes and re-optimize your operations accordingly. You save time and, last but not least, money.
EVALUATIONS AND STATISTICS You can also generate a wide range of evaluations from your existing database. In order to make things easier for you, the most important evaluations are already prepared in ALWIS.
