The Lie of "Unwilfull Sin" By Jeffrey D. Dean Sr.

There are many (and I am convinced many more will pop up) within the Beast Religion who are now preaching what I call a "watered down version" of Holy Living. I first encountered this teaching in my travels while looking at the Methodist Religion. It basically goes like this: "You must must cease from wilfull sin." Sin, therefore, to those who teach this, is quantified into two categories "wilfull Sin" (for which they conclude is no forgiveness) and "Unwilfull Sin" (sin that a believer commits but is unaware of at the time of committing it). Is there such a thing (in scripture) as "unwilfull sin," or as I call it "accidental sin?" Does this concept exist in scripture? I can tell you unequivicably that it does not. Yet, I will now dig into the Scriptures and we will look at sin under it's light to determine what exactly IS sin, how is it born, how it is manifested. Thankfully, we don't have to look very far because one of our Apostles gave us a clear cut definition of sin:

SIN IS TRANSGRESSION OF THE LAW

1 John 3:4-10 4 Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law 5. And you know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 6 Whosoever abides in him sins not: whosoever sins has not seen him neither known him. 7. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he (Messiah) is righteous. 8. He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9. Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin; for his seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother. 11. For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
If you read these texts over and over you will not find ONE reference to unwilfull or ACCIDENTAL sin! It simply did not enter into the minds of the Apostles to quantify sin in such a way. That is because ALL sin

is wilfull sin, being that sin is transgression of the law! This should be common sense. Yet John states that he who abides in Christ (truly abides) CANNOT SIN (either wilfully OR accidentally), because LOVING ONE ANOTHER prevents ANY and ALL SIN. If you LOVE your brother you cannot "accidentally sin" against him! True love will dictate that you wilfully treat your brother with respect and righteousness. If we have the LOVE OF CHRIST IN US, and that love is dictating our every move (which is what abiding in Christ really means) it is impossible for us to sin (either wilfully and certainly not accidentally) for the LOVE is dictating our actions and words! Don't be deceived by the Beast religions. If you LOVE as Christ loved you will not accidentally sin, for there is NO SIN in Christ or in HIS LOVE! There is no danger of making a mistake and sinning if you have subjected your WILL to CHRIST! Yet, we know that true believers sin every day, do we not? Well, yes, otherwise John would not have also written "if any man does sin we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous." Yet, I tell you this plainly. If a "believer" sins (either wilfully or accidentally) it is because he was NOT ABIDING IN CHRIST at the time of the transgression! The Beast Religion is teaching the lie that "abiding in Christ" means you believe in Christ. Nothing could be farther from the truth scripturally. The devils believe in Christ! They do NOT abide in him. Abiding in Christ means you LIVE IN HIS EXAMPLE of LOVE AND CHARITY. If you sin, you could NOT have been placing your members of your body under subjection to Christ at the time because Christ does not sin! John wrote that he who sins "has not seen him (christ) neither does he know him". So, we have a clear cut scripture that refutes the Beast Religion teaching that their congregations have "seen the light" and "know Christ" and have put "Christ in charge of their lives." For these very congregations sin every day and state openly with their mouths that they can't do anything BUT sin! They point to GRACE and state that the LAW IS DEAD. The Beast religion has KILLED the concept of sin! Sin no longer exists in their world. I say this because if "sin is the transgression of the law" and the law is DEAD, therefore logic dictates that SIN IS DEAD! Yet, they go about sinning and say so openly! How can it be? They teach the law is DEAD, therefore there is NO WAY to TRANSGRESS the law, being that it is dead and has no effect over them. There can, by course, be no SIN! To the Beast Religion sin is non existant! The only sin, by their reasoning, therefore, is not accepting their teaching and joining them in their world! You cannot find any scripture that puts sin in two categories "wilfull sin" and "unwilfull sin." NOT ONE! Okay, there is a scripture that, if read wrong, APPEARS to quantify sin.

Hebrews 10: 26-31 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, do you suppose, shall he be thought worthy,

who has trodden under the foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done despite unto the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him that has said, Vengeance belongs to me, I will recompense, says the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."
There are two key phrases contained within the above texts that are crucial to their understanding: "received the knowledge of the truth" and "has counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing." The Beast religion teaches that anyone who has "accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior" has "received the knowledge of the truth." This, for many Beast religions, is being "saved." (Not all though, the original Beast religion teaches that there are sacraments and church attendance, confirmations and baptisms that are also a part of "receiving the knowledge of the truth." Yet, for the most part "receiving the knowledge of the truth" is defined as accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior, plain and simple. (In some Beast religions simply saying a "sinner's prayer" satisfies this requirement). Yet there is MORE to receiving the knowledge of the truth in scripture. The word itself used "knowledge" is "EPIGNOSIS." This word denotes "full discernment" and "full acknowledgment." In the Apostle's world, true discernment comes ONLY from the HOLY SPIRIT! We who believe and follow the TRUE MESSIAH have the Holy Spirit and we SUBMIT OURSELVES to that same spirit (which is LOVE). If you have FULL DISCERNMENT and ACKNOWLEDGMENT of LOVE and are submitting yourself to that Love, you cannot "unwilfully" sin, for that same LOVE prevents it. You CAN however WILFULLY SIN. This is done by "doing despite to the Spirit of grace," as the writer of Hebrews puts it. Rejecting the spirit of love and DECIDING to do your OWN THING! According to the writer of Hebrews, (who I believe was Paul), at the moment you do this terrible thing (doing despite what the spirit of LOVE is telling you to do) you have lost your sacrifice for sin! At that moment you have nothing but fearful looking forward to of judgment and fiery indignation. If the Lord were to RETURN at that moment, while you are in this state, you shall be CAST OUT as an hypocrite! The second key phrase speaks of the "blood of the covenant." This is significant because of what we talked about earlier. Sin is "transgression of the law" and the Beast religion says the law is DEAD. Yet, the HOLY COVENANT in MESSIAH'S BLOOD states that the law is "written in your heart and in your mind."

Hebrews 8: 10-12 10. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbor and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest."
I ask you all. If the law is written in our minds and in our hearts how can it be dead for it is ALIVE IN US? Ancient scripture says "thy law have I written in my heart that I might not sin against you." That is the crux of the matter. Perfect LOVE casts out sin completely because if you LOVE as CHRIST LOVES you cannot sin against God or Man! That was the very significance of the "blood of the covenant." (The New Covenant in Messiah's Blood). We now have the Holy Spirit, and by submitting to that LOVE we are free from the sin that once so easily beset us! If we have FULL KNOWLEDGE and ACKNOWLEDGMENT of this HOLY SPIRIT and we do despite, we trod the blood of the covenant (the reason for Messiah's Sacrifice) under foot and put the name of the Son of God to an OPEN shame! There is NO WAY to do this accidentally if you are submitting to love. (We will cover those scriptures in a moment). Therefore, for those who have the Holy Spirit there IS NO accidental sin and there is only WILFULL SIN, in that you have to literally make a wilfull decision NOT TO LIVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT OF LOVE! (In short, you have to decide not to follow Christ in order to sin).

LOVE IS THE FULFILLMENT OF THE LAW

Matthew 22: 35- 40 35. Then one of them, a lawyer, asked, tempting him and saying, 36. Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37. Jesus said to him, 'Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38. This is the first and greatest commandment. 39. And the second is like it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. 40. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."
Messiah said these words because it is common sense if you love God with all your heart and you love your neighbor in this fashion you CANNOT sin against either. A child could see this. We have further testimony of this all through scriptures. (Common sense dictates that if you love in this way how are you going to "accidentally" sin?)

IF YOU LOVE YOU KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS

John 14: 15-17 15 If you love me keep my commandments 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but you know him, for he dewlls with you and shall be IN you."
The HOLY SPIRIT (the comforter) is how the Father writes His laws into our minds and into our hearts. For the Holy Spirit IS LOVE! LOVE, (in us) is the purpose of the CROSS, LOVE (in us) is the NEW COVENANT.

IF YOU LOVE YOU WILL AUTOMATICALLY FULFILL THE LAW

Romans 13: 8- 10 8. Owe no man anything, but to love one another: for he that loves another has fulfilled the law. 9. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thous shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehencded in this saying namely, Thous shalt love they neighbor as thyself. 10. Love works no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law."
The Beast Religion teaches that the LAW is DEAD. Therefore, LOVE itself is ALSO DEAD because LOVE IS THE FULFILLMENT OF THE LAW. How can you fulfill something that is DEAD and NULLIFIED? Of course, you can't and why WOULD YOU being that it is DEAD? When the Beast Religion KILLS the law, they kill the fulfillment of the law and by recognition they KILL LOVE! To those trapped within the Beast, they are DEAD TO LOVE, rather than being DEAD TO SIN. Here's why, LOVE is the exact opposite and antithesis to LUST and ALL SIN COMES FROM LUST (and in the converse, all righteousness comes from LOVE).

LUST LEADS TO SIN LOVE LEADS TO RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HOLINESS (Identifying the "spirit of antichrist")
When Christians sin they manifest that they are following the spirit of LUST instead of the spirit of Christ (which is LOVE), and I can prove it! It is important first to take note of the fact that the real problem here is when a Christian says they can do nothing else BUT SIN and that Christ paid the penalty for that sin so they can go on doing it! That is the REAL DANGER for them. They are trodding under foot the Ministry of Christ (which was to bring them to a state of LOVE) by saying they cannot LIVE IN THIS STATE! They cannot ABIDE IN LOVE (which is the same thing as abiding in Christ, by the way).

James 1: 13- 16 13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempts he any man. 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust and enticed.

15 Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.
Lust gives birth to sin! There is no way around this. If there's sin in your life, lust is the motivator. (Yet lust in and of itself is not a sin, for one can lust after good things and the scriptures commend us not to "lust after evil things.") Lust is HUMAN (and there are ancient texts that say that God lusts after certain things, we won't look at them now you can find them with a concordance). So, Lust can be Godly as well as Human. What the Apostle is talking about here is "lust of the flesh." (Which is also human and not sinful, it's only when we follow that lust and let it "conceive" that it becomes sin). Those Christians who teach and claim that they CANNOT STOP SINNING have sold themselves to the SPIRIT OF LUST to follow it, rather than the SPIRIT OF LOVE, for if we LOVE we will be following the SPIRIT OF CHRIST. Therefore we have no other choice but to accept that the ANTICHRIST SPIRIT is LUST and those who follow their own lusts to sin are following the ANTICHRIST! There is no way around it! (Those who say they can do nothing BUT sin and that is why their Christ died to pay the penalty so they could go to Heaven even though they are following the antichrist spirit).

That is the greatest lie of our times!

The Apostles taught us that if we "WALK IN THE SPIRIT (OF LOVE)" we SHALL NOT fulfill the LUST OF THE FLESH!

Galatians 5: 14- 16 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. 15 But if you bit and devour one another, take heed that you be not consumed one of another. 16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and you shall NOT FULFILL the lust of the flesh.
So much for "accidental" or "unwilfull" sins! They do not exist for one who "walks in the Spirit" (of Love). It's simply impossible to accidentally sin if you follow and live by the above teaching. This starts by BELIEVING IT. (Christians within the Beast Religions have failed the first and most crucial requirement by stating that they can NEVER stop sinning as long as they are "in the flesh"). As a man or woman confesses with their mouths, so shall it be for them! This is a universally taught principle. If you state that you never will stop sinning (which means you will from time to time follow the antichrist spirit of lust instead of the Spirit of Love) you are selling yourself short and forever BARRING yourself from achieving to the very thing for which CHRIST DIED. You nullify the CROSS, you destroy the ministration of the SPIRIT and you lose your HOPE of YOUR CALLING! If Christ returns while you are in this state you shall be cast out with the rest of the hypocrites. The GOOD NEWS, however, is that the teachings of the Beast are all LIES and you can indeed follow after Christ and HIS SPIRIT OF LOVE! Your attempts to do so are NOT IN VAIN, and some day you shall attain to that which was promised. This is your HOPE! You may not see the fruits of this yet but I promise you, the day will come! I'll end this study at this point. There is so much more that can be said (and I will probably say it as I am given license to).
