Patent and Trademark Office

Greg developed his Ars Axis Release Stretching Yoga method in seeking to bring stretching and Yoga to another level, through the art of strengthening to stretch, with both men and women in mind, in particular, because of his own flexibility challenges and having no cartilage in either knee. Westport, CT, September 01, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Having been trained by fellow Olympic Coach, Washington Redskins and Washington Nationals Strength Coach John Philbin in PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) stretching, an occupational therapy and physical therapy procedure, designed in the 1940s and 1950s to rehabilitate clients. Herzog says that he has improved upon this technique through his 30 years of research, analysis and application, by using an Osteo and applied physics technique, that allow the muscles to relax at their own pace and encourage flexibility and coordination throughout the limb's entire range of motion, thus making quick gains in range of motion to help individuals and athletes improve performance. Greg developed his Ars Axis Release Stretching Yoga method in seeking to bring stretching and Yoga to another level, through the art of strengthening to stretch, with both men and women in mind, in particular, because of his own flexibility challenges and having no cartilage in either knee. When Herzog was based in Malibu, California he had a good friend recommend a Yoga class at Malibu Yoga, where Cathy Crosby, the daughter of Bing Crosby was teaching. Greg's friend Kevin, highly recommended he try it, so he did. When Greg arrived for the class mid week he was surprised to find that it wasn't Cathy teaching, but another male instructor and four other flexible men, Herzog not being one of them. The instructor and everyone were very patient with Greg and his inflexibilities, although by the time he left the studio he found great difficulty in driving home. Herzog later said it was one of his more painful exercising experiences and the reason why he wanted to create a stretching and Yoga system that was a little more user friendly. Herzog hopes that he can create a new association for Yoga and he believes that with his Ars Axis Release Stretching method you will learn how to stretch both safely and properly, by using active movement to achieve maximum flexibility and coordination that will improve flexibility, reduce fatigue and help alleviate problems.
