GS/OAS is the central and permanent organ of the Organization of American States (OAS). Through its Department of Human Development, Education and Culture (DHDEC), GS/OAS supportsOASmemberstatesincreatingpoliciesandexecutingprogramsthatpromotehuman capacitydevelopmentatalleducationallevels.Byenablingformativeopportunitiestocitizens, DHDECstrengthensdemocraticvaluesandsecurityundertheframeworkofregionalintegration. APPLICANTSPROFESSIONALPROFILE: This program is designed for individuals in government, corporate, health, and service sectors whoworkwithadultsinapplicationsorientedsettings.Throughthis36credithourcurriculum, participants will become acquainted with the design and use of training theories and methodologiesinordertoimproveserviceproduction,productquality,andstaffdevelopment processes. Students will acquire skills that allow them to conduct needs assessment, analyze data,plananddesigneffectivetrainingprograms,instruct,andevaluateoutcomes. 2. ThescholarshiprecipientwillberesponsibleforallremainingcostsassociatedwiththeProgram including: Remainingtuitionfeesofapproximately(US$8,000.00); Booksandstudymaterialsapproximately(US$1,000.00).

2.ELIGIBILITYREQUIREMENTS: AllApplicantsmust: BecitizensorpermanentresidentsofanOASmembercountry,excepttheUnitedStates1. HoldatleastaBachelorsDegreefromaregionallyaccreditedcollegeoruniversity Haveworkexperienceinrelatedfield ScoresfromtheGraduateRecordExam(GRE)orMillerAnalogiesTest(MAT).Ifastudenthasa 3.0 GPA in the last 60 credit hours of undergraduate work AND a score of at least 46 on the MAT,theGREisnotrequired. Possessbasiccomputerandinternetskills Have good command of English, with documentary evidence, if not the native language. 5.SCHOLARSHIPSELECTIONCRITERIA: Scholarshipsshallbegrantedbasedonthefollowingcriteria: Themeritsandoverallcredentialsofthecandidate,includinghis/heracademicand professionalbackground,and Anextensiveandequitablegeographicdistributionforthebenefitofallmemberstates thattakesintoaccountthegreaterneedsofthesmallerandrelativelylessdeveloped economies. 6.RESPONSIBILITIESOFSCHOLARSHIPSRECIPIENTS: AllScholarshipRecipientsmust: FulfillallrequirementsoftheprogramforwhichtheOASMWSUscholarshipisawarded ConfirmtheiracceptanceofthescholarshipawardbysigningandreturningtoOAS DHDECtheircompletedform:AcceptanceoftheScholarshipAward.
