Ready Reckoner for filling the online application

Dear Applicant, We have put together a ready reckoner for filling up the online application. Please go through the same for an error free application. Personal Details. Please ensure that you indicate all your personal details correctly.

Contact Details: Please fill up the contact details you and your parents/spouse details (if married). Income details and proof of income (for you, your parents (spouse, if married) are mandatory, if you are Applying for an ISB Need Based Tuition Waiver/Scholarship or Nurture India Scholarship).

GMAT Score Details. If you have already taken your GMAT, then please upload a pdf scan copy (Official or Unofficial/Test Centre score report) in the upload documents page. If you have not taken your GMAT yet, then you can come back to this section at a later date. Please keep in mind the following before you sit for a GMAT test. 1. You would require a passport to appear for the GMAT test. So, if you do not have a passport, apply for one at the earliest 2. You would need to book your test date in advance, please visit http://www.mba.com/the-gmat.aspx Education Details: This section will cover your academic background details from 12th standard (from 10th class for female candidates) till your latest education qualification. If you just have a diploma instead of a Bachelor's Degree, you will need to obtain an equivalence certificate from the respective university or from World Education Services ( http://www.wes.org ), USA. The onus of proving this lies totally with you. You will need to scan all the relevant certificates, transcripts& Mark sheets as PDF scans in A4 size and upload them.

If you do not possess the originals or have lost them, please make sure that you apply for a duplicate with the Board/University concerned and obtain the same before you submit your application. If your transcript is in any other language other than English, you should also submit us a scanned copy of that transcript along with its official translation in English. The official translation may be obtained from your university or the embassy / mission of your country in India.

Employment details: This section will cover your full time employment details till date. The objective of this section is to understand the nature of job done, the role that you have performed, the responsibilities handled, and achievements if any. You may want to spend quality time in filing up this section. It would be a good idea to speak with your colleagues/boss to understand your achievements and put the same across lucidly. Please make sure that there is no clash of employment period with any full-time academic programme that you have undergone. In such case, the work experience will be counted as part time. Mention the salary figure (Yearly CTC) in the Currency which you are drawing. Please DO NOT convert Salary figures into INR. However, if you are drawing your salary/allowances in two different currencies, you may convert the entire amount into one currency and include it in the respective field. We need proof of income only for your recent employment. Please upload a PDF scan of your last drawn salary slip (if employed) or Latest Income-tax returns (if self employed) in the Upload Documents page. There is no need for submitting a separate resume. The online application module will generate a resume in the format that we require, with the details you have filled as part of the application. It includes your Academic details, Employment details (along with responsibilities/achievements) and awards & activities.

Awards and Activities Details: This section will give you an opportunity to showcase awards and recognitions that you may have got in your academic, employment or in extracurricular areas. Please scan certificates (if any) for awards or achievements you have received If you do not have a certificate, dont worry. Make a mention of the achievement in the space provided for. Activities section and Hobbies section aims to understand your pursuits outside of your work. This section will help us understand you outside of your academic and employment achievements. Please do not fill this section, just for the sake of it. Please be objective and honest.

Essays details: This section has three mandatory essays and an additional essay (only for re-applicants). Please take substantial amount of time out for filling out your essays. A good essay will require multiple drafts. So make sure, you spend quality time on the essay. All the three questions have a word limit of 300 words. It would in your best interest to make sure that you cover everything that you wish the Admissions Committee to know about you in the specified world limit. Before uploading the essays in the application portal, please run a spell check and look out for any grammatical errors. The font to be used is Arial and font size of 11. Re-applicants need to submit an additional essay listing changes in their profile from the previous year/s. Please make sure to highlight the new achievements that you have or the additional responsibilities that you have taken up to show progress in your profile at work. Please avoid using special characters.

Evaluations details: This section will require you to submit Names and contact details of two evaluators. You can have a look at the questions that your evaluator needs to answer on the application portal if you select the radio button "Online" on the evaluators details page. Please read through the questions given in the form to make sure who your evaluator/s should be. Your evaluator can be any of the following o Reporting Manager (current or from your previous company) o Client o Senior colleague who has seen you grow in the organization The designation of the evaluator has no impact whatsoever on your application. Make sure you choose the evaluator who has worked directly with you and has seen the impact of your work on the organization that you work for. Please make sure you start the process for obtaining evaluations/recommendations in the ISB format as soon as possible as it takes some time for your evaluators to complete and submit the same. The evaluations need to reach the ISB by the deadline you have chosen to apply for.

For online evaluation, please provide official email id will of the evaluator. Personal email id will not be accepted. Your recommenders can submit the Recos / Evaluations even before you submit your application. You will be able to view a soft copy of the evaluation in the evaluations details section.

Scholarship information details: Students interested in obtaining need based tuition waiver / scholarship or Nurture India Scholarship must fill and submit this along with the scholarship essay. Please ensure that you also submit proof of Income (Last drawn Salary slip, if employed or Income-tax returns, if self employed) for yourself, your parents/spouse(if married) as part of the application. Application without supporting documents will not be considered complete. Your Admission chances have no bearing on the scholarship essay. Scholarship decisions are taken only after we have the final admit list.

Color Photograph: Please ensure that you upload a GOOD QUALITY recent colour photograph in business formals. The photograph can be a digital photograph or scanned from a printed copy. The resolution must be 200 / 300 dpi; passport size in PDF Format.

Before submission of application: It is recommended that you look at the print preview, take a print and proof read the entire application paying special attention to dates, designations, salary figures, email id, contact information, spelling errors etc., before you submit the application.

Scanned Signature & Statement of Integrity details: The application will ask you to submit a scanned signature along with a statement of integrity. You need to copy the text provided in the page to a word document, sign the same, scan it in PDF of A-4 size in 150 / 200 dpi to proceed with submitting the application.

Payment of Application fee: Once you submit your application you will be taken to the application fee payment page. Please keep your credit card or internet banking details (ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Karnataka Bank, Yes Bank, Corporation Bank and Oriental Bank of Commerce) ready for this payment before submitting the application.

Payment by Credit card: We accept any VISA or MASTERCARD for remitting the application fee. Other credit cards are not accepted. There is no restriction on using your friend's/relative's credit card for remitting the application fee. The application fee is INR 3000 (approximately equivalent of US $ 60), The fee will be INR 1,000 (approximately equivalent of US $ 20) for re-applicants. Payment can be made using any VISA or Master card or Internet Banking option. You need to have an internet banking account with Bank of Rajasthan, ICICI, Axis, Yes, Karnataka, Corporation, OBC, South Indian or Vijaya Bank to remit using internet banking option.

Successful submission: Once your payment is processed online, you will get a confirmation number and a message informing you about the successful submission of your application. Please note this number for your records and quote this in subsequent communication with admissions team at ISB. You may copy a downloadable PDF version of this application on your system for your reference once you have submitted the application.
