1. The radiator grille, which dominates the front of the car, is one of the key design elements and also a typical feature of koda models. The Superb grille consists of twenty one bars with a wedge-shaped profile which run from the centre to the sides of the car and direct the air inflow to the radiator. The grille lends the Superb model a unique look expressing eagerness and dynamism, while still retaining its elegance which can be further highlighted by the chrome package, including

the front lower grille chrome frame, strips for the upper and lower frames of the side windows and stripes for the doors as well as bumper protective strips. 2. Boarding Spots (LEDs located on the underside of the external mirrors) illuminate the ground when getting into the car in darkness, making puddles, dirt and obstacles clearly visible. This feature is activated by a remote control.

3. Side indicators integrated into the external mirrors represent a fine and highly functional detail which increases the cars visibility in the traffic when changing direction. It also adds to the attractiveness of the vehicle. 4. Boarding Spots (lights located on the underside of the front doors) illuminate the ground within a radius of one metre. Coming Home is another useful feature. This system keeps the headlamps on for 30 seconds

after the doors are closed, so the Superb can illuminate your path home. 5. The Bi-Xenon headlamps do not only wield great illuminating power but also look good. Thanks to gas-filled tubes, coupled with electromagnetic baffles, the benefits of xenon light can also be put to use on full beam. The road ahead appears to be bathed in broad daylight, no matter how dark. Both fog lamps and directions indicators, featuring orange

background optics for better visibility, are integrated in the headlamps. 6. The large rear lights with integrated fog lights give a final touch to the well-balanced design of the cars tail. The C-shaped glow will allow you to safely recognise that its a car from the koda family. 7. The telescopic headlamp washers are integrated into the headlamps and retract to

be completely flush with the front of the Superb, much to the delight of aesthetes and aerodynamicists alike.

The safety of the crew is always at the top of our priority list. Passengers in the Superb are protected by an exceptionally strong body with triple side-impact struts built into the doors and sills. Its equipped, as a matter of course, by 4 airbags in the standard version. Modern electronic braking systems further increase the level of safety in all driving conditions.

Thanks to a multi-link front axle and rear crank-axle, the koda Superb is neat and easy to handle, which adds to the safety and comfort of the drive. The braking system includes several electronic chassis control systems. ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and EDS (Electronic Differential Lock) come as standard on the 2.0/85 kW version, with ESP (Electronic Stability Programme) as an option. The same applies to the 1.8 T/110 kW engine. The koda Superb 1.9 TDI PD/85 kW, 1.9 TDI PD/96 kW and 2.0 TDI PD DPF/103 kW versions feature ABS, EDS, ASR (traction control system) and MSR (engine drag moment control), with optional ESP. The V6 2.8 30V/140 kW, V6 2.8 30V/142 kW and the V6 2.5 TDI/120 kW versions come as standard with ESP, ABS, EDS, ASR and MSR. All versions are equipped as standard with the Dual

Rate System that helps to reduce the stopping distance in critical moments. In the versions with ESP, the Dual Rate System is coupled with the standard installed Electronic Brake Assistant. In addition, passengers are protected by crumple zones built into the car body, a specially designed engine mount, pedal and steering column unit, triple side-impact struts built into the doors, and in the event of a collision electronically controlled fuel cut-off and automatic door unlocking. 1. The head airbags, once triggered, inflate to form a curtain that spans from the A to the C column, providing optimal protection for all passengers. 2. The driver and passenger airbags are activated in the event of a frontal collision.

3. The front side airbags, which are located in the sides of the front seats, are automatically inflated in the event that your car is struck from the side. 4. The front passenger airbags can be deactivated by turning a key in a switch in the glove compartment. Thanks to this feature, a child seat can be fitted to the front passenger seat. 5. 3-point seat belts and three headrests in the rear for optimal protection against neck injuries are standard equipment in every Superb.

1. The basic instrument panel of the Superb model is characterised by its white backlight and good graphical legibility. It features a large MaxiDOT display showing data from the on-board computer (outdoor temperature, average speed, etc.). 2. The Symphony radio with CD and MP3 player and the RDS/EON TA (Traffic Announcement) tuner is compatible with the Superb multifunctional steering wheel. Station info and RDS messages appear in the drivers field of vision on the MaxiDOT display. 3. The Rhapsody radio with CD player, in addition to the Symphony features (except for MP3), has the Room Equalisation function that acoustically adapts to the interior for optimal sound. To enjoy even better sound, the Rhapsody system may be complemented with the digital Sound-System with a 240W output. 4. The SatCompass navigation system displays data both on its monochromatic display and the MaxiDOT display. Both visual and acoustic instructions are available in six languages. When not in use, the CD player can be used to listen to audio CDs. The SatCompass can be extended to include a CD changer in the luggage compartment. 5. The DX navigation system with dynamic functionality constantly tracks the position of your vehicle, monitors traffic announcements and responds to traffic jams. Routes are indicated within the drivers field of vision on the MaxiDOT display. The basic version of the navigation system comes fitted with standard speakers. An additional Sound-System, including an amplifier with a 280W output and eight speakers, is also available. By pressing the driver function button, the sound can be perfectly attuned to the drivers position. 6. The TV tuner for the DX navigation system enables watching television or viewing Teletext on the colour display. For safety reasons, TV viewing is allowed only when at a standstill. If the car is travelling faster than 6 km/h the picture disappears from the screen. The sound, however, continues to be transmitted.

7. A DVD player fitted into the ceiling will be particularly welcomed by the rear seat passengers. The appliance is equipped with a 7" LCD, remote control and wireless headphones. It supports the following formats: DVD-Video, CD-ROM and MP3. 8. Two CD boxes, each of them holding six CDs, are a handy extra for the cars equipped with CD changer. The boxes are inserted into the luggage compartment, where they may be easily removed if you prefer not to leave them in a parked car.

9. A CD changer for six discs can be installed in the luggage compartment. Its compatible with the Symphony and Rhapsody radios as wells as the SatCompass and DX navigation systems.

The multifunctional leather steering wheel with cruise control and radio controls allows you to operate the radio functions (for example tune into a different station, adjust the volume, etc.) and cruise control with your left hand while driving using the right hand. The GSM phone preparation is available in two variants: GSM I including the basic electrical wiring required to plug in your mobile phone; GSM II in addition includes a hands-free set and a basic phone holder on the centre console (available for selected phone types only).

1. SunSet windows with a higher density of tint in the rear part of the vehicle protect the rear seat passengers from solar radiation and the inquisitive stares of passers-by. 2. The electrically adjustable sunroof features a specially tinted glass which protects you from the glare of the sun while giving a fine view of the sky. Like the windows, the sunroof can be locked from the outside using the central locking system. An adjustable spoiler reduces any noise caused by airflow. Also available is an electric sunroof with solar elements which performs several functions.

When the engine is not running, solar cells supply the ventilator of the automatic Climatronic air conditioning with electricity. This ensures an airy and cool interior even if parked in the sun. In the winter, on the other hand, circulation of air inside prevents the windows from icing up. 3. The rain sensor is located inside the windscreen. Depending on the intensity of the rain, the sensor will start the wipers and govern their speed. The sensor is covered by the auto-dimming internal mirror which reduces the strain on your eyes and prevents

you from tiring too quickly. A sensor monitors whether the headlamps of following vehicles might be blinding the driver, for example if the car behind has forgotten to dip from full beam. In this event the internal mirror darkens automatically. 4. The CatVision function, when it gets dark, subtly illuminates the dashboard of the Superb with a warm light that creates a luxurious and reassuringly safe environment. All the outlines and surfaces in the cabin are clearly visible without interfering with the drivers vision.

The Climatronic air conditioning with electronic regulation, which in the Superb model includes an acoustic control function, will maintain a pleasant climate in the vehicle not only in summer but during the whole year. 2. The adjustable air ventilation system in the back ensures that conditions in the rear remain just as pleasant as in the front. 3. The heated windscreen will quickly clear frost or steam.

4. The heated front and rear seats add to your ultimate comfort. 5. The electrically adjustable driver seat with memory enables you to immediately adjust it into your favourite position. You can save three seat and external mirror configurations. 6. The Footboard can be used if the front passenger seat is unoccupied. The middle section of the large and comfortable backrest

can be folded down to allow the rear seat passenger to stretch out his/her legs. A protection cover can be used in order to prevent the backrests soiling.

The air-conditioned storage compartment in the dashboard on the passenger side presents a wonderfully practical and convenient way of preventing things from overheating in summer. It enables you to surprise your host with

a bottle of chilled wine even after a long drive. 4. The WetCase is an extremely practical detail located in the left rear door panelling. Its a storage compartment holding a Superb umbrella, ingeniously designed so that any water left on the umbrella is channelled to the outside of the car. 5. The cooling box, tucked away behind the rear armrest, is a perfect place for your drinks which will keep you refreshed during your journey.

6. The Travel-Box is an air-conditioned storage compartment located in the centre console where you can keep drinks or snacks cooled and at hand. 7. The Unibag is a removable sack useful for long bulky items such as skis or snowboards. 8. The foldable rear seat backrest, split 60 : 40, enables you to expand the boot volume up to as much as 945 litres.

9. The front parking sensors are activated or deactivated with a button on the front of the centre console. We offer this option exclusively in combination with the rear parking sensors. 10. The parking sensor uses four ultrasonic sensors, built into the rear bumper, to measure the distance between your car and the nearest obstacle and warns you by an acoustic alarm when you come too close. Its available either

in combination with front parking sensors or separately. 11. Foldable hooks which can be used to hang your shopping bags are located at the top part of the luggage compartment. 12. The Net Programme, comprising of three nets, allows you to easily adapt the luggage compartment to your current transport requirements.

13. The CargoFlex variable loading system in the luggage compartment is stashed away behind the backrests of the rear seats. You can pull it towards you easily whenever needed and load it without straining your back. Once you move off, even small items are retained in place. If you want to accommodate more serious luggage, the CargoFlex is easy to push into the rear half of the boot, even when loaded. It has a load capacity of 25 kg.
