Introduction~

WHAT IS CELLS????

Cells are the structural and functional units of all living organisms. Some organisms, such as bacteria, are unicellular, consisting of a single cell. Other organisms, such as humans, are multicellular, or have many cellsan estimated 100,000,000,000,000 cells! Each cell is an amazing world unto itself: it can take in nutrients, convert these nutrients into energy, carry out specialized functions, and reproduce as necessary. Even more amazing is that each cell stores its own set of instructions for carrying out each of these activities.

(1)

~ Objective~
*Understand cell
* Undestand unicellular organisms and multicellular
organisms

* Classify the unicellular organisms and multicellular

Organisms

* Realise that humans are complex organisms

~Multicellular organisms~
SPIROGYRA MUCOR

HYDRA

Hydra, Spirogyra and Mucor are examples of multicellular organisms.Spirogyra consists of many cells joined together. These cells form long filaments or threads. The cells in the filaments are of the same size and shape. Mucor consists of many long filaments.Hydra has a wall consisting of two different cell layers.. (3)

~Unicellular organisms~

Amoeba

Paramecium

Chlamydomonas

Euglena

Pleurococcus
(4)

Yeast

Amoeba, Chlamydomonas, yeast, Paramecium, Pleurococcus and Euglena are tiny unicellular organisms. They are known as unicellular microorganisms because are very tiny. Microorganisms can only be seen with a microscope. Most unicellular organisms live in wet places such as seas, ponds and drains. These organisms have different body shapes.

~Extra Information~
We have about 1, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000 cells in our body.

Groups of cells of the same type are called tissues. Tissues are grouped together into organs that carry out functions for the whole organism.

Cells are too small to be seen without magnification.

There are more bacterial cells in the body than human cells. Cells contain genetic material.

~Discussion~
Cells are the Starting Point
All living organisms on Earth are divided in pieces called cells. There are smaller pieces to cells that include proteins and organelles. There are also larger pieces called tissues and systems. Cells are small compartments that hold all of the biological equipment necessary to keep an organism alive and successful on Earth. A main purpose of a cell is to organize. Cells hold a variety of pieces and each cell has a different set of functions. It is easier for an organism to grow and survive when cells are present. If you were only made of one cell, you would only be able to grow to a certain size. You don't find single cells that are as large as a cow. Also, if you were only one cell you couldn't have a nervous system, no muscles for movement, and using the internet would be out of the question. The trillions of cells in your body make your life possible.

~Conclusion~
Cells very meaningful in our lives. If no cell, we will dead. In our body has 1, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000 cells.
