Traditional Brick manufacturing is a seasonal activity. These conventional products are costly and utilize large amount of non-renewable natural resources like energy, top soil etc. there increased dependence on external materials weakens the atmospheric conditions and ecological balance in nature. However technical changes are required to take place and it is therefore CIBM Fly ash Brick can be a alternate conversion to the traditional bricks.

The CIBM FLY Ash Bricks are technologically designed to provide functional efficiency and utility which does not endanger bio-reserves: does not pollute environment : recycles polluting wastes into usable materials: AND low in monetary cost as compare to clay products with availability throughout the year

Whereas In our National Interest of utilization of Fly ash and restriction of excavation of Top Soil, The Govt. Of India through its MOE&F gazette notification mandates that every construction agency within a radius of 100Km of thermal power station shall only use fly ash based building materials.(Source: Gazette S.O 2804(E) 3rd Nov.2009). Multi-Dimensional Qualification of CIBM Fly ash bricks both as a qualified building material for compliance of this notification and a GREEN BUILDING RAW MATERIAL for CDM Projects makes it a dream product.

The Cold Crushing strength of CIBM Fly ash brick increases with exposure. Samples immersed in water for more than 4 months tested at CCS values of 125 and 130. At a conservative estimate, one may expect a 20% Increase in the CCS of CIBM Fly ash Brick within a 6 months of construction. Thus buildings made with CIBM Fly ash bricks actually grow stronger with times

Efflorescence is the main debilitating factor in buildings made with Traditional bricks. Particularly in areas with high salinity in the underground water, or in the atmosphere. CIBM Fly ash Bricks is impervious to efflorescence being free of soluble salts. Thus absence of salts in CIBM fly ash brick protects it completely from salinity. It is thus ideal for constructions on marshy areas where traditional bricks cannot endure. The difference in the two building material becomes apparent within months.

CIBM Fly ash Bricks generates far more compact constructions compared to traditional bricks. Its precise, modular proportions not only reduce the nos. of bricks required in one cubic meter but also reduce mortar space between the bricks, thus provides more carpet area. CIBM Fly ash bricks comes with a consistent qualitative parameters, whereas the basic problem with the traditional bricks lies in the various qualities prevalent in the market where CCS could vary from 30 to 90. Hence there is no risk of inadvertent use of low quality bricks in the foundation or in the load bearing wall to cause building a permanent weakness.

The main saving generated by CIBM Fly ash Bricks is in the thickness of plaster. It create a smooth surface on both sides of wall. The thickness of plaster on the outer side, if required at all, need much less than what require in a wall made of traditional bricks. On the inner side , even Plaster of paris punning can be done directly on the smooth , unplastered surface.

Owing to precise, modular proportions , the space between CIBM Fly ash Bricks is considerably reduced, compared to traditional bricks. Thus the consumption of mortar is reduced. On a conservative estimate one can expect a remarkable 20-25% savings in required mortar.

Because of its uniform size, the number of CIBM Fly ash bricks generates higher volume of brick works. It has been observed that utilization of CIBM Fly ash bricks generates nearly 10% savings in the cost as on a same cubical content, consumption of CIBM Fly Ash Brick is 10% lower than traditional bricks.

The greater benefit lies in controlling two major ecological problems. PROBLEM 1: Fly ash emissions and its ultimate disposal PROBLEM 2: The traditional bricks are produced from 100% clay which actively contributes to the reduction of natural resources ,Top Soil. SOLUTION: CIBM Fly ash Bricks

Cold Crushing Strength: class designation 75 kg/cm2 and 100 kg/cm2: Density: 1300-1400 however bricks with lower density parameters ranges from 1000 onwards can also be made available. Weight 2.5 Kg to 2.8 Kg per brick. Size: uniform FPS however modular bricks can also be made available. Water absorption: low

Since 1999, Many Govt. User agencies like DDA, NDMC, PWD, CPWD, BSES, MCD, I&FCD along with other esteemed domestic users have executed their projects with the products made by our licensee companies through our expertise bricking developed over years and blended with superior technology. More and More Construction companies are embarking upon to derive at the economic and engineering virtues of CIBM Fly Ash Brick.

CIBM(Center for Innovative Building Materials)and M J Bricks Company (the first of its kind in Northern Part of INDIA), is established in 1996 by Mr. Anil Arora who has a vast experience of manufacturing bricks & tiles for the last 25 years. CIBM and M J are active in the field of utilization of fly ash and intelligently developing new innovative fly ash based products to suit Indian environmental construction needs. Growth and change are coming at a rapid pace for this Center as it moves and adapts to the enormous opportunities of the 21st Century innovations in utilization of fly ash through manufacturing of NEW GENERATION FLYASH BRICKS. But that doesnt mean theres little by way of past accomplishment. In fact, it is precisely MJBRICKS long and proud record of achievement that serves as inspiration and foundation for its innovations.

In this Envo-friendly direction the following programs have already adopted by us;Providing cementitious virtues at the price of clay bricks : Established a small R&D center to develop new qualitative fly ash based building materials & Machines : Submitting reports on the utilization of ash to the various departments of central / state ministries to strengthen their hands in this noble national drive : Helping other entrepreneurs to establish the Fly ash bricks Manufacturing units by assisting & sharing technical information : Promoting innovative technologies based on local and cost effective materials: Promoting cost effective building materials and construction practices: Educating and creating awareness among fly ash bricks user agencies: Establishing Pilot projects for demonstration of technologies
