How can it be that man was created in Gods image, yet was born in sin? By Bernard B.

Cox
Id like to make a comment regarding a question, one which was once posed on a radio chat show to a Professor of Theology from the University of Cape Town. The question, (from a listener) was in this vein... Can the Prof. please explain how man was created in Gods image, yet was born in sin? The Professor found himself placed on the spot and couldnt answer the question at the time, (not implying that he couldnt have had he sufficient time to consider the topic). What theologians fail to do is understand the Word... AS IT IS WRITTEN! Should they do that, they would no doubt find that what they perceive contradicts what their school of learning has taught them causing confusion then anxiety, panic and mental distress. They also have a tendency to inject their thoughts and assumptions trying to present an answer to everything with a view to being conclusive. There is no need for such negation since the Lord works in ways most sovereign and sometimes perceived as strange. The priests and elders of the denominations of the day, the Pharisees and the Sadducees; persistently made the same error as evidenced in their discourse with Jesus. In this study, I implore the reader to take the scriptures which I will present in this document and ponder just what the words say; and the penny simply falls, the Word, (the Holy Spirit, the Author of the Word) being Its own interpreter. It always helps to ask the Lord, (in His name, Jesus the Christ) for revelation before reading His Word. I will present to you the revelation I have received - based upon the Word... as It is written. It grieves me to no end when theologians and laypersons without divine revelation appear on radio shows and serve only to cause more confusion regarding Christianity. Satan just relishes each opportunity to sow more seeds of discrepancy to a already very willing bedding ground. There has never ever been a school or seminary through which the Word of God was taught. Those, the likes of what were found in Babylon and Alexandria have been proved to have been inaugurated and corrupted by infidels. God doesnt work that way. God works in an unchanging way... Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord thy God shall do nothing except He first reveal His secrets to His servants His prophets Let me explain. Im going to give you the short answer first but thereafter, Ill back it up with scriptural text and comment later. First let me present to you the key to rightly dividing the Word of truth. II PETER 1:20 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private

interpretation.
MATTHEW 4:4 4 But he (Jesus) answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by

bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
REVELATION 22:18 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of

this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19

And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Before there was anything created, everything that was created was foreseen in the minds-eye of God. Then the creation was initiated by His spoken Word. The testimony of John 1 reflects the creation of all things, (the entire universe) from the very beginning. The testimony of Genesis 1 reflects the dressing of the earth specifically; which incorporates the making of man. Now we come to the making of man in Gods image in GENESIS 1:26-27. God first creation, (John 1) was to create His soul which was in the image of the Word, Jesus; who was still to be manifested in flesh some 7 millennia later. When man was made, he was made as a soul also; and later we read in GENESIS 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. He was made in the spirit image of God and then formed in flesh from the dust of the field. --------------------------------------------------------GENESIS 1:27-28 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Now the issue of being born in sin. In summary, Adams children were originally destined to be spoken into existence just as he was. But it wasnt expressly Gods plan. He needed man to fail, and fall from grace so that He could manifest His glorious attributes, and redeem man; and in so doing, put man to the test of obedience, loyalty and ultimately love towards their Saviour and creator. Always keep in mind that God saw this entire saga played out in His minds eye thus it is that His plan of election by predestination is perfect. Man did fall as a result of unbelief which is sin. Eve disbelieved the Word for her hour having been beguiled by the serpent who was an upright, two legged being who could talk. Im referring to the missing link that science has been looking for, for so long. He committed adultery with Eve, and in order to save Eve, Adam also lay with her a planted a Gene-seed of God in her womb trusting that God wouldnt destroy her while baring that seed. They did however begin to die. They lost their immortality. We are all descendant products from that act of sin. So, we are all born in sin even though our souls are created in Gods image. We just live in these bodies of sinful flesh. -----------------------------------------------------------Now in further elaboration on both topics with scriptural vindication... MATTHEW 16:13-19 13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. 15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 18 19

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

God gives gifts to those who ask. Peter was an illiterate fisherman who never was schooled but was presented with a gift of revelation by the Creator, which by the way is available to all simply by asking. The knowledge of the Word of God is a spiritual gift which cannot be received from a seminar. Seminars teach the doctrines, dogmas, and interpretations of men. The manifestation of the confirmation of the gift which Peter received was demonstrated on the day of Pentecost after those who were in the upper room received the gift of the Holy Spirit. In the Book of Acts chapter 2 we witness the anointed inspiration, by the Holy Spirit, of the revealed Word on Peter as he preaches a sermon of sermon quoting the fulfilment of several prophecies. JOHN 1:1-4 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. (Life Def; of the absolute fullness of life, both essential and ethical, which belongs to God, and through him both to the hypostatic "logos" and to Christ in whom the "logos" put on human nature. Light Def; of truth and its knowledge, together with the spiritual purity associated with it.) JOHN 1:9-16 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. 15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. 16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. GENESIS 1:26-27 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. We have to distinguish the difference between the making of man, (Adam) in Gods image and the birth of the descendants of Adam and those of the Serpent/Beast. Adam, was first created as a spirit! Both the soul of Adam and that of Eve was in the original makeup of man. Gods very attributes of male and female was expressed in His creation of man. That was man, created in the image of God; Who initially expressed Himself as He perceived Himself for the

purpose of His forthcoming divine will and plan which was the electing of a Bride with whom He will spend eternity. In the text from John above we read that everything that was created was created IN God. That implies that there was to begin with nothingness, if I may define it as such but that was God, (What Christians regard as the Father for out of this was born all things); He is a eternal, omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent Spirit. Im saying that the creator is a life-giving spirit wherein everything that was created was created. That is why even our thoughts, along with every event and experience, all of which is energy, affects God. The entire plan of creation was perceived in the minds eye of the creator; by this invisible eternal God, (Who wasnt even a God at the time since there wasnt any one to worship It at the time; a God being a object of worship) unto the consummation of this evil and wicked world... and still on into eternity. The very first thing the creator thought to create was a soul for Himself. His entire plan depended upon His interaction with man. As we know, a soul is invisible thus the Creator thought to embellish His soul in a flaming aura which we today call the Logos. God knew that man was destined to fall and lose his immortality therefore it was necessary for this embellishment otherwise man wouldnt be able to see Him while in their fallen mortal state. The Creator called His soul the Word. As we read, everything that was created was created by the Word... in God This entire revelation aligns with the revelation of the Godhead; a revelation which the world of denominational dogmas and seminaries cannot receive and that, I believe, is why the Professor couldnt answer the question. Had he tried, he would have had to accept that Jesus is God manifested in the provided corporal body predestined for God and that there isnt an old man God in Heaven and a young God called Jesus and a whimsical spirit flying around called the Holy Spirit totalling three Gods. That is paganism! ISAIAH 54:5 5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. MALACHI 2:10 10 Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers? If all things that were created were created by the Word IN God, that; in itself, dictates that Jesus is the manifestation in flesh of the Father. MARK 12:32 32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: ROMANS 3:29 29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: Isnt it strange that the scriptures never refer to the Godhead as They or Them? No! Multiple gods was a Roman Catholic invention which they dragged from their pagan ancestor worship into their form of Christianity. Lets face it, the true Christians were persecuted for one and a half millennia as a result of their rejection of that dogma. ROMANS 3:30 30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. I CORINTHIANS 8:6

But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

EPHESIANS 4:4-6 4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. That while everything that was created was created IN God, (The Father). MALACHI 3:1 1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts. The messenger of the Covenant is the Spirit of God in His messenger of the message of propitiation for each particular moment in time. We find Elohiym in the office of Melchesidic in the day of Abraham as the messenger of their Covenant. The same Spirit/soul embellished in Fire who met Moses in the burning bush and led the children of Israel in the Exodus from Egypt was the messenger of their Covenant. The same Angel of the Lord Who blinded Saul on his way to Damascus was again a messenger of the very same Covenant which Jesus delivered as The messenger to the New Testament Church before His crucifixion. The messenger referred to in the text, (MALACHI 3:1above) was Jesus. And the Lord referred to in the text is the same Angel of the Covenant/ the Word/ the Logos Who indwelled Jesus; and the temple is Jesus corporal body. MATTHEW 1:23 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God

with us.

-------------------------------------------------------------Now we shall address the being born in sin issue. We see from the previously listed scripture, (GENESIS 1: 27) that the soul of man was created with dual sex. Adam and Eve, while still in that state, were instructed to subdue, multiply and replenish the earth; before they were formed into two mortal beings. Notice that God didnt instruct them how to reproduce. Notice also that they were given dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. We must consider that they were subject to God. All that lived on the earth was subject to them, and in view of the fact that each seed brings forth of its own kind, E.g. a dog reproduces a dog, a cat a cat, thus deduction implies that they were deity God brought forth of His own seed; God Children children with spoken Word creative power. Unfortunately, there are very few currently who are, disciplined and trustworthy enough to be trusted with such great power... but they will be manifested someday soon. ROMANS 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. God saw the need for man to be provided with a corporal body; for His plan dictated that He Himself had foreordained that He will create for Himself a corporal body and that both He and His elect Brides bodies would, (after the fall from grace) be restored to an immortal state. God took from Adam a rib and formed Eve. Almost a millennium past by while Adam dressed the earth and named the creatures before the serpent, who was an upright two legged, intelligent, talking being successfully seduced Eve. She allowed the serpent to sow a seed of discrepancy into her mind, convincing Eve that the statute that God had given them was a lie. She forsook her first love and played the harlot and received physical gene seed from the serpent; who when born was Cain. When she approached Adam, trying to convince him that God had lied to them, He wasnt deceived; but he did know that she had to

die. He so loved her, he willingly lay with her and sowed his own God-gene seed in her womb believing that God could not and would not kill her while she carried His genealogical seed. I TIMOTHY 2:13 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. 15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety. They did however lose their immortality status and begin dying. Eve gave birth to twins. The evil one a reproduction of the serpent who was subsequently cursed from that day to slither on his belly, etc. Adams seed was righteous Able; whom Cain eventually slew through pride, and jealousy. Having said that, I now need to explain what sin is. Sin is all unrighteous... the root of which stems from unbelief of the Word of God and it was Eves doubting, her unbelief of Gods Word; believing rather the words of the serpent; that resulted in her infidelity. Let me allow the scripture to explain! Speaking to the scribes and Pharisees, Jesus said... JOHN 8:19 19 JOHN 8:21 21 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come. 22 Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come. 23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. 24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. 25 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning. JOHN 8:40-47 40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. 41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. 42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. 46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? 47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God. I JOHN 3:8-12 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

9 10 11 12

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and

slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own
works were evil, and his brother's righteous.

There you have it! The very scripture declares that Cain was of the seed of the serpent, (who wasnt a snake hanging in a tree with an apple in its mouth at the time trying to seduce Eve; as depicted in Roman Catholic pictures). Cain was a descendant from the missing link who seduced and committed adultery with Eve! Didnt you ever wonder why the Bible has so much to say about fornication and adultery? I did! Even as an eight year old little boy I questioned the fact. You see, there is a Gene-seed of God in my soul and because of that, I just cannot accept anything contrary to the unadulterated, uncorrupted, pure Word of God. That should suffice. Should there be any questions, please dont hesitate to email me or give me a call. Id be happy to help. Kindest regards and best wishes! Bernard Cox cops@telkomsa.net +27 78 8757255 +27 11 917 4620
