Volunteers from various community groups hope to collect enough food to replenish the Merritt & District Food Bank with non-perishable food items. The food drive runs this week Sept. 12-17th when volunteers will deliver flyers with donation bags to various homes in Merritt. Simply fill it generously with non-perishable items (like canned meat/fish, canned fruit/ vegetables, peanut butter, baby formula/baby food, rice, whole wheat pasta and sauce) and leave it on your doorstep. All contributions will be collected on Saturday, Sept. 17 beginning at 9:30am, and then delivered to the Food Bank.
