John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

Jesus words concerning worship contrasts the worship in earthly Zion with the worship of heavenly Zion. Worship would no longer be centered in earthly Jerusalem at an earthly temple, but worship would be in spirit. The church is a spiritual temple, and we offer spiritual sacrifices through our praise and worship.
Hebrews 9:26 Amplified Bible (AMP) For then would He often have had to suffer [over and over again] since the foundation of the world. But as it now is, He has once for all at the consummation and close of the ages appeared to put away and abolish sin by His sacrifice [of Himself]. Isaiah 65:18 But be glad and rejoice forever in that which I create; for behold, I create Jerusalem to be a rejoicing and her people a joy. The New Creation was the goal of the ages, and the New Covenant world is the framework for worship. Worship is now global, and no longer centered in Jerusalem. The New Creation people

are those created by the Lord for praise. Global, Spirit filled worship was also the goal of the ages. Psa. 102:18 This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.

Worship is also the manifestation of the Kingdom, the goal of the ages.
Psa.22:27-28 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

For the kingdom is the LORDs: and he is the governor among the nations.
We are now living in the age of worship. We can now experience heavenly worship because of redemption and the Holy Spirit. We can now enjoy God. We are now the habitation of God through the Spirit. Worship is now to be done in spirit and in truth from generation to generation. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost was another sign of the arrival of the Kingdom. God promised through the prophets to pour out his spirit, and now we can worship God in spirit turlough the Holy Spirit. The sons and daughters prophesy. Inspired utterance is the result of this outpouring, and we can also sing by inspiration. Prophecy can be spoken or sung. Worship is prophetic. This is true of the New Creation, but was also seen in Davids tabernacle. David, Israels pattern worshipper, was also a prophet. Prophets were also the covenant messengers who rebuked Israel when they departed from true worship. Isaiah rebuked Israel for their formal and ritual worship that was not from the heart. Churches that recognize and receive prophetic ministry will also be able to operate in strong worship. Prophets can and should be involved in singing, music, and dancing. We need anointed psalmists, minstrels, seers, and ministers of movement.

Prophets help interpret the will of God for a service, and help us move in what God is saying and doing. They have an anointing to sing, play, and dance prophetically. This will move the church into a realm of glory, as we ascend in worship. The new song is released prophetically, and brings refreshing, conviction, deliverance, and healing. The prophetic also keeps us creative, and we do not become stagnant and routine in our worship.
