Kearney Associate, you will be involved in every phase of a consulting engagement, from pre-proposal research through final implementation. Almost immediately, you will join a project team, working at a client location, sharing your ideas, and addressing CEO-level issues. As part of your responsibilities you will: Gather and analyze data. Conduct benchmarking, best practices and other competitor assessment studies Help to generate proposals and lead certain client and analyst teams. Recommend actions and help clients implement them. Have opportunities to create intellectual capital and recruit new consultants. Advancement. Our goal is to involve you in all phases of the consulting process, helping you hone your professional skills. You will benefit from a comprehensive performance management process that includes feedback from project teams and from your mentor. The scope of your consulting role will increase as rapidly as your performance warrants. Career progression through each consulting position generally follows this model: from Associate to Manager within two to three years; from Manager to Principal within three to four years; from Principal to Officer within three to five years. Individual progress is a function of many factors, including performance, development and firm-building contributions. Training. To enlarge your consulting knowledge and potential, A.T. Kearney offers training programs that address your development needs at each stage in your career. New Associates participate in the intensive New Consultant Orientation (NCO) program to learn the fundamental concepts and methodologies used by practicing consultants. They also have varied opportunities for specialized training to develop industry, process, and product expertise. All training activities are designed specifically to build the increasingly complex skill set required for career advancement. What We Seek. A.T. Kearney Associates are adept in analytical skills and are self-directed, team-oriented individuals who thrive on challenge. Most have three to five years of full-time relevant experience in addition to an MBA or other post graduate degree. Associates are dedicated to continuous learning. They have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and easily adapt to new cultures. They are strong group facilitators as well as capable leaders and successful team players.

Associate Contributions. At A.T. Kearney, no two client engagements are alike. Each requires unique insights and offers unique challenges. The following are successful outcomes our Associates have helped clients achieve: Assessed the customer order fulfillment process for a major chemicals manufacturer, and identified key improvement opportunities in the organization structure, processes and systems within the supply chain division. Developed options for U.S. market entry for a major wireless carrier. Developed a five-year strategic business plan for one of Latin Americas largest air carriers, involving marketplace analysis, operations and competitive assessment. Designed start-up business plan for a non-commercial lending institution focusing on educational institutions in Mexico. Developed strategic plan for a new division for a construction company focusing on providing asset management and outsourcing services to multiple industries. Developed and implemented a reservation system for shared services area of a manufacturers shop floor, including implementation of change management efforts.
