Welcome to the Retail License Program of

VOLKSWAGEN AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT

We are pleased that you are interested in obtaining a license for the representation of Volkswagen
brands or products. We would like to make you aware that we can only grant the use of the property
rights for Volkswagen brands, design patents and copyrights after our internal review of your license
request. The basic steps towards a potential license agreement are as follows:
1. We need a quality reference sample (including packaging) from you as well as specific information
about your business case on your project inquiry and general information about your company
(see attached Questionnaire on Licensing Inquiries) for our internal review and project decision.
2. We require 1 2 weeks for our internal review and project decision. During summer and holiday
season the review may take additional time.
3. If we are ready to grant a license, we will send you two copies of our signed short-term agreement.
You will need to return one counter-signed copy to us. The agreement will not be considered valid
until we will have granted the final approval on the product(s) to be licensed.
4. After we receive the final approval sample, including packaging, together with the approval
documents (Appendices 2a 2d of the license agreement), we will conduct an internal review and
provide feedback or approval within 1 2 weeks. The final approval sample must correspond to
your general product quality of that item.
5. After a positive review of the final approval sample we will sign Appendix 2c of the agreement and
send it back to you. Only after our signature of Appendix 2c the license agreement will come
into effect.
These basic steps may be adjusted to individual projects.
Materials submitted (including all samples) become the property of our company. You may request
materials be returned on the enclosed questionnaire. We will charge return shipment costs on any
reclaimed item of at least 50 EURO.
We will proceed with your request as quickly as possible, as soon as we get all required materials.
