1. Introduction
This part of the Bidding Document covers the Technical Requirements and Scope
under this Contract for Engineering, Procurement, Supply and Construction to be
carried out by the CONTRACTOR. These are supplementary to those covered in
BASIC ENGINEERING DESIGN (BED), Technical Specifications for Design and
Construction and Drawings of the bidding document. A detailed scope of work is
elaborated in subsequent sections.
2. Scope of Work
The scope of WORK for this CONTRACT includes, but not limited to the following:
h) Obtaining all necessary permits and authorizations for the performance of the
WORK, including the liaison with respective authorities, making the
applications on behalf of OWNER, coordinating official visits to SITE.
i) Organize the work and liase with other parties for the performance of the
WORK at JOBSITES.
j) Interfacing and coordination with other contractors and other parties involved
in the PROJECT.
k) Performing any and all works necessary to prepare the JOBSITES for
construction, including surveying, SITE fencing, access road to SITE, disposal
areas and temporary roads at JOBSITES.
Detailed technical scope of work is given in section C-1 of bid document. Detailed
scope of work for project and construction management, planning, procurement, HSE
and QAQC are given in section A-3 of the bid document.
3. Technical Specifications
Included in the Bid document are a series of technical specifications and the BASIC
ENGINEERING DESIGN. These specifications shall form the basis for the design and
construction of the Underground rock caverns. Any changes to the specifications, if
required, shall be reviewed and approved by OWNER.

• Indian Statutory Codes, Standards and regulations.
• International codes (As per the list in Technical Specifications)
In case of any conflict between specifications / code requirements, the most stringent
requirement of these shall govern and the decision of OWNER in the resolution of the
conflict shall be final.
4. Statutory Requirements
The CONTRACTOR during detailed engineering and construction, shall take into
account and comply with various local statutory requirements, standards and codes,
including but not be limited to the following:

CONTRACTOR shall ensure provision of adequate office space with all office facilities
including computer with internet connection and telephone with ISD facility to
OWNER for review of drawing / documents in the CONTRACTOR/ Engineering sub
contractor's home office.
Similar facilities shall also be extended to any visiting OWNER team, if such a request
/ requirement arises during execution stage.
