Installation of Unit
A. Primary inspection 1. Relevant document: about installation location. 2. Installation location: Install the unit at the place where it is convenient for installing water pipe and wiring. Keep the unit away from oil, smoke or other heat sources and make sure that the noise and outlet air do not influence the surroundings. 3. Installation space: Keep a certain space for reparation and maintenance (see Fig. 1). Make sure the air flow of heat exchanger on gas side is unblocked.

Chart 1 4. Installation basement: Ensure that the unit is installed on concrete basement or metal bracket with smooth surface which are solid and firm enough. 5. Delivery and inspection: Users should unpack and check the unit at the place of delivery. a) Check whether all the accessories are all complete. Item Quantity Installation, operation and maintenance manual Users service manual b) Check the model and specification of unit. d) Check whether there is refrigerant leakage. Remark Given to user Given to user

c) Make sure the unit and the components thereof are intact and complete.

If there is any problem, please contact us or our local dealer. Note: Do not unpack the package after inspection; otherwise the unit may be damaged. B. Carry the unit 1. Please handle with care while carrying the unit. 2. Carry the unit with crane or roller rather than by pushing. 3. Do not remove the wooden base until the installation of unit is completed. 4. Please lift the unit with hoisting equipment. 5. Cushion should be used lest the unit is damaged. C. Location and space The unit should be installed at horizontal steel or concrete basement which can support the weight of unit. Its forbidden to install the unit at damp, caustic or explosible place. If the unit is installed in the open air where the temperature is low, our company will not responsible for antifreeze protection. Keep a certain space for drainage, ventilation and maintenance, where it is convenient to remove the compressor and condenser. D. Noise control For normal operation, we take the following measures to control noise: 1. Interior shockproof of compressor. 2. Adopt low-noise fan and the motor equipped with rubber shockproof cushion. 3. If there is an air return duct, a flexible pipe is necessary on site. Partition the unit and pipe with wall or ceiling. For least influence by noise, please locate the unit at the places away from users such as the location near staircase, elevator or restroom. Its suggested to build a partition wall between the unit and the room, on such occasion, the door and window should be well-tight and the air return device is needed in equipment room. For the noise can be transmitted into the room, absorbing sponge should be put in the duct.

Installation of Fan RPM of fan depends on the air flow needed, accessories as well as resistance in air supply and return ducts. Pulley and the specification of belt are determined according to RPM and power. Adjust the resistance in air supply and return ducts after starting the motor to ensure even air flow in the room.

Fr e oc
R le u r

4k yp ins e o t

Make the belt in proper tensity by adjusting the position of motor pulley and fan pulley. (See following picture, press the belt and the distortion is about 20mm.) When stopping the pulleys, the time interval between these two pulleys should be more than 7s.

Chart 2: Adjust the tensity of belt Readjust the tensity of belt 1 week after the operation of unit. Check regularly every 1 to 2 months and make sure the distortion should be about 20mm. Replace the belt when necessary. Note: The belt which is too tight or too loose may generate noise and be harmful to the unit.

WARNING
Water pump and fan of cooling tower should be together controlled by the unit. High-pressure

protection will work in case water pump or cooling tower does not start. In case the water pump and fan of cooling tower are not controlled by the unit, please make sure

that they are turned on before starting the unit. unit. The minimum distance between every unit should be 1200mm. A maximum of 3 units can be paralleled connected in water system. C. Precautions C.1 Water pump 1. Water pump is installed in the inlet of condenser for the purpose of reducing resistance. The suction port of pump should be close to water pool or cooling tower and the suction pipe should not be too long. 2. Maintenance valve is fixed between suction pipe of pump and condenser. Please use throttle Be sure that the unit is turned on if the water pump and fan of cooling tower are connected with the

14

valve rather than maintenance valve to adjust water flow. 3. Flexible pipe fixed on suction pipe and discharge pipe of pump can effectively reduce vibration and noise caused. 4. Pressure gauge and thermometer should be installed at the place where it is convenient to get the reading. C.2 Cooling tower 1. Its suggested to install the cooling tower in shady, well-ventilated and unpolluted place. 2. Do not locate the cooling tower at air outlet or in the kitchen or the like places where the temperature is high. 3. Check the structure and dimension of cooling tower to determine whether it is applicable. Take into account the bearing capacity of floor and the noise level of cooling tower. 4. Either load or the ambient temperature should ensure constant water flow in condenser and normal working state of every pressure valve and every sensor. 5. The cooling tower needs water constantly because the water inside keeps evaporating. The amount of supplementary water is usually 1~3% of circulating water. The bottom of cooling tower should be equipped with filling pipe and overflow pipe which can drain the filth into sewer. 6. Clean the water with cleaning agent and softening agent regularly to keep the water in good quality. P-H value of water should be within 6~8 and the turbidity is less than 5mg./Litre. The content of iron and CaCO3 should be less than 0.3mg/Litre and 50ppm respectively. 7. One cooling tower can be connected with a maximum of 3 units. When one unit is running, the condensers and the switches of filling valve of other units should be turned off. Otherwise some circulating water will pass through the unworking units, which may cause insufficient water or over high water temperature in the working unit, reducing cooling capacity. Working Condition and Description of Functions A. Power supply Voltage: rated voltage 380V, acceptable range: 343~418V. Frequency: AC input frequency is 50Hz. Reparation and Maintenance

A. Ensure the water quality The water from well and river which contains lots of solid particles, organic substances or scalelike sediment should be filtrated or softened before they are used in condenser and evaporator. Otherwise, the sand or mud in chilled water may block the pipeline. ) Stability standard 6.0 8.0 Note: in the table above reflects the possibility of causing corrosion and scalelike sediment. In case the water does not accord with the above standard, please consult the local dealer to soften or filtrate the water. B. Maintenance 1. Regular cleaning Please check and clean the surface of condenser regularly. 1) Daily maintenance Make sure the water in cooling tower is overflow. 2) Weekly maintenance Replace with fresh water and ensure the water quality. Make sure there is no water leakage. 3) Monthly maintenance Clean the surface on water side and supplying water system with a brush or detergent. 4) Quarterly maintenance Do testing on water quality and replace with fresh water if necessary. 5) Air filter should be cleaned regularly. Note: Remove the inside baffle first before cleaning the filter. 2. Turn off the unit in winter Please make the inside and outside of casing clean and dry and drain the water from condenser as well. 3. Starting in spring Please follow the requirement below before starting the unit. 1) Examine and clean the unit. 2) Clean or replace the air filter. 3) Clean the condensate drainpipe. 4) Do cleaning on condensate pipe and check whether there is leakage. 5) Clear the dust on evaporator. 6) Make sure the impeller is in balance. 7) Fix all the electric wiring and lock the cover board. C. Replace the components If you need to replace the components, please consult the local dealer.
