MULTIDISCIPLINARY HEALTHCARE FORUM (EAST BALLROOM) The goal of this CIHR funded forum is to maximize the Knowledge Translation potential of the SCAPPS annual conference on-site by inviting a spectrum of healthcare knowledge users beyond the traditional scientific community. Representatives of clinical healthcare bodies within the province who have attended the sessions, and invited presentations of the 2011 SCAPPS conference will identify and discuss specific examples or instances where conference information is useful to their clinical disciplines in regard to both practice and education. Discussions at the forum will be facilitated through a brief introduction of each stakeholder that includes particular topics or questions that are timely for their profession. Researchers will be encouraged to consider how their work might apply (directly and indirectly) to the different healthcare professionals and to identify groups that they may wish to collaborate with in regard to better understanding active living, mobility, and movement. This representation of a broad array of clinical backgrounds and diverse perspectives may assist the SCAPPS membership to identify both the end users of their research, and clinical research funding agencies that they may have previously been unaware of, when planning, or designing applications for future research funding.
