He is hard working and likes to do things which others find difficult. He is very optimistic and always striving for success. He is cheerful and likes to work in team. Karthik is aspiring to pursue a career in the field of wireless communication especially cell phone technology and 3G systems. His other area of interest includes computer networks, wireless LAN technology, and jamming environment in spread spectrum systems and VLSI design. He is proficient in digital and analog electronics and also in computers. Also he has completed courses like operating systems, database management systems, system software, computer algorithm, and data structure and computer architecture. He has experience in C programming, shell programming in Unix and Matlab( an ultimate software for communication field) . Karthik has very good academic records both in school and college level. Now, he is looking for a good industrial training experience and a challenging project. If given an opportunity, Karthik will deliver high quality result in any high tech area. SPREAD SPECTRUM THEORY AND APPLICATION- This course is about performance of systems in jamming environment, 3G technology, GPS and basic spread spectrum theory. I was very much excited to learn about jamming environment and methods to reduce jamming effects.

2. DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS- This course gave me a good exposure to database concepts concentrating mainly on RDBMS, transaction concepts and basic SQL commands. SOFTWARE SKILLS Programming in C, shell programming in Unix, Matlab, VHDL, and Verilog HDL, Visual DSP software for Analog devices. Operating Systems Unix, Windows 2000 EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES Karthik is an active member of NSS and participated in a summer camp held at a village near Chennai, mainly concerned about developing basic sanitary conditions in the village, adult education, free medical camp, etc. He also organized many programmes in the college cultural festival MITAFEST and also an active member of Electronics Engineers Association of MIT and played a key role in conducting ELECTROFOCUS technical symposium. HOBBIES Karthik enjoy Cooking during holidays. He usually tries new recipes, which he gets from TV programs. He also likes to watch and play cricket . His other favorite game is Fiery Formula one car racing. He has a passion for classical music. Honors Karthik has been elected as Placement Representative for the year 2003 in the college for representing the class during placement activities and for giving training to students to face the interview and aptitude tests.
